Vishranti A Doon Valley Jungle Retreat

A very serene and peaceful resort in the midst of Kandholi jungle. The resort is very spacious and holds space for various activities. It is filled with glorious details of Indian Army.
But I am rating it two star because of food as it very average. I had ordered stuffed mushroom and sesame chicken which was flavourless and I couldn't swallow it down. The worst was sesame chicken. The service was very good and but food is something where they need to work. Also you have to pay 1000rs on the gate which are used as coupons.
The resort has a gym, park and bird sanctuary with beautiful and exotic birds something very unique. And you can also order drinks here.

My stay turned out to be total fiasco, as I paid around for one day stay at a Nirvana Cottage, and couldn't avail of any facility. First, the cottage is too far from the main kitchen and the restaurant so, room so service isn't available. Second, at night, it gets extremely dark to walk the entire path to the restaurant, and if it is raining, then be prepared to soil your shoes or get attacked by mosquitoes as the lighting is very poor. Third, the maximum charge amount is for the so-called jacuzzi that they have installed in the bathrooms, but none of us could even take a simple bath as no water was available. Even after doing several complaints, no solution was sought and in the end, I and my family had to checkout without even taking a simple shower (forget about the jacuzzi), Fourth, even in the western toilet seats, the water was not available, so it was a big turn-off for obvious reasons. Going for a day's excursion is fine, but if you are planning to stay at the Nirvana cottage, especially, be prepared to face similar issues. The only good thing is location, greenery, food quality, and internet speed but, when we take the pain to spend this big amount on a vacation, then obviously, we are not looking forward to such problems.

this property is about 6 km from main road. property is huge and u have to go about 500 m from main gate. our room name was sukoon and it was quite and spacious and bathroom was also quite big with a bathtub and there was a sitting area outside our room but it seemed as if property is not maintained so well probably due to less occupancy. spa services were on demand and prior notice. swimming pool was there but I think not worth swimming. they had a big area with variety of birds in cage. their and restaurant area was quite big and whole of the property has lots of photos of army men. food was good. will recommend to stay but at the same time ask the owner to increase maintenance of property because it seems very old type.

Location is superb. Greenery and property are very enjoyable. Rooms are well kept and clean. Rooms Are not similar to what is shown in pictures though. Buffet and meal menu needs addition. Must visit for patroits.

It's a paradise in the middle of Dehradun. Since its surrounded by virgin mother nature, you'll have to travel by a vehicle for 5-10 min. Other than that there's nothing this place is short off. Staff is very nice and food is awesome. Not to mention the rich heritage

Amazing location
It's located in pondha road and covered area 23 acres lumsum. Birds, plants, forest and independent house many things in here. If you want peace and calm definitely visit here.

Vishranthi resort is an amazing forest resort which is close to Dehradun main city but gives you a feel of being in deep forests.

Nice drive through the jungle, the place is beautiful nice quiet from the maddening crowd. The place is beautifully built, enjoy sitting outside or be in the restaurant. Great bar. All in total Fauzi style. Chilled 🍺. Had a great outing. Beautiful place to stay as well. Must visit for a wonderful day and stay .
