Very good place for weekend trip. Near Petuaghat fishing harbour beside the Rasulpur river and Hooghly river.

It's basically a rural area with a lonely abandoned shore of Hoogly estuary.There is a holy Sharif mazar for Muslims. Although everyone irrespective of religion can pray here.The beach is so beautiful. Secluded, quiet tamarisk woodland and clear bluish wave on white sandy beach with very windy condition. The traffic of fishing trawlers and ships on the horizon.. These all are amazing.Very calm charming atmosphere. Quite a bit of time can be spent here. Although most of the time the winter season is crowded with picnickers, the quiet atmosphere of autumn or spring is more attractive.But the ice cream shops on the beach are not very clean. Or when you walk from Hijli bus stand to the beach road, the environment is dirty after crossing “Sharif”. From there the stench of cattle waste, the smell of leftover food, all in all a very unpleasant smell and atmosphere. You can breathe a sigh of relief when you cross that lane and enter the beach.But prasad shop of the holy sharif are clean.

Hijli sarif is very beautiful place for tourist... Here we can fill like digha sea beach.. Hijli is very nice picnic spot..

Despite the good scenic beauty and blissful spiritual aura, there are too many mediators who will jump on you, the time you step out of your car, who will vigorously force you to buy things even if you don't want to. I think the administration has to look into this matter and appoint some of the police forces to safeguard the free will of the commons. So, be careful before you visit this place.
