The Hospital was founded in 1990 by Mrs.Santosh Devi and Mr. Om Prakash Malik as a 25 bedded Nursing Home. Santom Hospital is a joint dream of Mr. Om Prakash Malik and Mrs. Santosh Devi brought to reality by their efforts. Santom is abbreviated as SANT (santosh devi), OM (om prakash). There has been continuous development since then. Santom Hospital is a first comprehensive, multi-specialty hospital in Rohini, Pitampura & North Western Delhi. Santom Hospital is a joint dream of Mr. Om Prakash Malik and Mrs. Santosh Devi brought to reality through their efforts.

I was there for delivery of my baby. Everything went pretty smoothly and my wife was discharged pretty soon. My baby was in nursery under good nursing staff. Staff present at the reception was also helpful and polite. Now the wife and baby both are relieved. Thanks to the care provided by the nursing staff and doctors at the hospital. Very good services on very Economical price.

Complaint against SANTOM Hospital, Prashant Vihar, Delhi

I admitted my mother on 04/09/2021 (Sat) in an emergency condition (bleeding in brain). Hospital admitted my mother in an emergency and shifted her to the ICU. She was completely conscious at the time of admission. Before visiting SANTOM Hospital, we visited Fortis Shalimar Bagh but due to non availability of beds, they had not admitted my mother. But neurologists strictly prescribed to infuse FFP because the INR was at an alarming stage. Due to high INR, there was bleeding in the brain.

I had told and shown the prescription to the emergency doctor at Santom Hospital but they had neglected the prescription of the neurologist (Fortis Hospital) and went for their own reports. Their report took around another 3-4 hours and ultimately they had wasted another 3-4 precious hours. Because of this level of negligence, my mother's condition worsened.

We had told them to call a neurologist on an urgent basis. But they had just given us false assurance that they had called the neurologist. But in reality the neurologist visited the next day (Sunday - 05/09/2021) around 1:00 PM. At that time my mother was completely unconscious and condition was very bad. But still neurologist Dr. Shailesh Jain did not treat her fairly. He ignored her even after seeing her bad condition. He prescribed a CT scan and left the hospital. I told him to diagnose her but he told me to wait for the report.

I am not a doctor but after observing the bad condition of my mother, I understood that she required immediate medical attention. But the said doctor ignored her and left the hospital to enjoy his Sunday.

After facing this level of negligence, my family decided to take Lama discharge from this hospital, but they again started giving us false assurance that they will control the situation. But we hadn't listened to their baseless talks. After that they started the process of Lama discharge. And told us that FFP was very important for her and told us to infuse FFP. We agreed for the same but they cost around Rs. 2500/- for the same. We are under the panel of Delhi University (completely cashless). I told the billing staff the same but they charged money from me.

I had called the ambulance for shifting the patient to another hospital, but they had not provided the stretcher. They told us to bring the same ambulance. This kind of inhumanity they have shown us.

They have done something wrong in the ICU as well because suddenly my mother was raised to an alarming stage. Also they just then attached the diabetes injection. And I don't know how many times they have given painkiller injections to my mother. Their negligence and unprofessional behaviour of doctors almost killed my mother.

Never go to Santom Hospital and never let anyone go there for any treatment.

I tried to talk to the MD of the hospital but again the doctor was enjoying her Sunday. Serious patients are in hospital and she was ignoring her.

When I was taking my mother to another hospital, neurologist called me and started explaining the situation of my mother. But the serious condition, which she faced is caused by him (Dr. Shailesh Jain). If he diagnosed my mother timely then we had not face the situation, which we are faced. He is also practicing in MAX Shalimar Bagh, before visiting him, kindly make one thing clear in your mind that he is careless and irresponsible doctor.
