Besant Nagar Post Office

Post office is located in one of the inner roads. Difficult to find. Office gave me a dull impression, but the staff are friendly.

The Besantnagar Post Office has the Postal Index Number or Pin Code 600090. A Pincode is a 6 digit post code of postal numbering system used by India Post. The first digit indicates one of the regions. The first 2 digits together indicate the sub region or one of the postal circles. The first 3 digits together indicate a sorting / revenue district. The last 3 digits refer to the delivery post office type.

I have been living in Besant Nagar for the early part of 30 years. Grew up with the post office. We knew every post man and post woman here.
The staff was very helpful.
Now, even though we are not there, we prefer to keep our savings from there due to affinity. Yet the ever changing staff do not understand that integrity.

This is a very helpful place for most purposes of the postal service.
But, the only problem I am facing during this covid-19 lock down is this.
I have a flat at Besant Nagar, and I am a senior citizen living alone.
I went abroad to visit my kids just before the lock-down. Now I don't know when I can return. I expect lot of mails in June and July. I want to report a change of address for mail delivery. I don't know how to do it online. If the post-master sees this review, I hope he can send a reply to my email address at [email protected]

Efficient helpful staff. Even at heavy workloads they don't even show any discomfort.

I'm really disappointed it's my first time and they really messed up I was trying to send my family some clothes for Christmas on November month they said that they didn't received after one month so i went there to check what's going on they said it's almost there 2nd time i went back they told me the same thing now it's already 7 month they never bother about this matter I've lots of amount on this and time i wish I never go for this 🙄

A self sufficient post office ,
Friendly staff ,
Only downside is it’s hard to find location of the post office as it is tucked in between residential area .
But google maps would suffice .
