Mumbai Foreign Post Office

This office is full of very corrupt and efficiently working customs officials.
It took them 12 days to check a small package and they will never pick up your calls or reply to your emails. and then they will charge an exorbitant amount of custom fee without giving any receipt.

I have call for 3 days now no one pick my calls. And the parcel is with them LP518102397MY and this is my tracking id. If u guys can't do ur job proper y'all should stop receiving parcels from other countries. Its shame to this office

The services here have been attrocious, and the delay in hearing from them implied that I was forced to pay incorrectly levied customs duty.

Neither was the postal service ready to keep the parcel on hold to allow me time to sort this out, nor did the officials provide information into sorting the issue out.

A simple google search shows thousands of such incorrect charges by this department, and its time someone took legal action on it.

If anyone knows how to proceed with it, please help.

Worst service … no one picks the call at this office…. Mostly it’s v v hard to find contact number online. Surprisingly Indian post office customer support didn’t have the contact number of MUMBAI FPO.

after reading the comments in the reviews was quite worried about my order getting stuck here, but when got in contact with the office was happy with the assistance provided .. Nisha maam from the office got all the doubts cleared .. also my order from US was cleared by the customs withing 2-3 days of arrival and was immediately sent to the next office for delivery .. hope this is the kind of support all indian citizens expect from the govt offices .. special thanks again to Nisha maam here ..!!

I was to receive a parcel with documents from the UK via Royal Mail and the service chosen was "International Signed" costing £25. The parcel was sent on Sat, 15 Oct and it reached the Delhi International Mail Centre on Mon, 17 Oct. The service from UK was prompt but I wonder why it took 4 days to reach Mumbai. The tracking status on the Royal Mail website kept showing it stuck in Delhi and I was panicking as my documents were to be submitted on an urgent basis. Thankfully I happened to see the status on India Post website and it showed the next delivery was at Mumbai Foreign Post Office. I contacted them on call and a ma'am patiently explained the next status and expected time to me. We also co-ordinated with Mr. Kuldeep who gladly informed us that since it was only documents the customs team had cleared it quickly. It was further sent to the MIDC Post office on the same day itself after clearance and I collected it from there on Sat, 22 Oct morning. I'm happy with the assistance offered to me but the delay is hard to understand. If the parcel can reach from London to Delhi in 2 days despite it being a weekend, how can it take 4 days to reach from Delhi to Mumbai.

Rude staff. Had very little patience and even lesser manners. I’ll give 2 stars because even if he was rude, still guided me but acted like the two word answer was costing him millions for the time it took.

This is how I received my parcel. The parcel cost was 3k but the custom duty was 6k I still managed to pay the duty tax and bought my parcel. and when I opened there was nothing in it. These people hit sooo hard on our hard earned money. Pleaseeeeeeeeee never ever send any international parcel
