Children Park, CPWD new campus

This park is basically a well pruned and preserved area of land meant for people to come and relax, enjoy and spend some time away from the routine of their homes and work. It is located in AF Block of Sector 1 of Salt Lake City in Calcutta.

The playground is meant for the residents of CPWD new campus in AF Block to come in the mornings and evenings to spend their leisure time in the open and fresh air of the park, away from their congested homes and busy environments.

There are swings, slides, rods for hanging upon for exercise, and many other such items that provide for children their much required exercise, enjoyment, and refreshment away from their busy schedules of school and home.

In the mornings, in this park children come with their parents or elders for walks, exercises and jogging, while, in the evening time they are again there for playing and having a good time after a heavy school routine. On the open space in a playground, we can see children, the bigger ones playing games like badminton, cricket, and hockey, while the small ones enjoy the slides.

Basically it's a playground for the children of CPWD new campus. It also serves a multipurpose function as all the events like sports day, independence Day celebrations,Durga puja, etc are organised here. Residents come out here for walks and just to relax with their friends. It's not a very well furnished park though. It has two swing sets out of which only one is working, and two slides and seesaws. It is covered with grass and is surrounded by trees, so it's somewhat relaxing. But still it can be improved further.

I live here. Usual park for recidencial purpose. There are few swingers and slipery available. Kids come and enjoy. Even some oders women also chit chat here. And even boys go and practice sports sometimes. elder people come to chitchat also. Evening time is the crouded time.

Best place for morning and evening walks, jogging, gathering or for sports.

It's a very neat and clean campus... Atmosphere is good... There are so many trees inside the camp.... And also 1 park and ground and a temple are there.....

Good place to live, big campus full of tress and park for children. Quite ok when it comes to the rooms.

Very ambiant and safe place for families.

This children's park is located inside C.P.W.D campus where I have lived for 16 years. All the co curricular activities like drawing competition, sports and even durga puja, kali puja which is organised by the campus takes place here. Recently this park is upgraded.
