EDAKALLU IN MALAYALAM LANGUAGE MEANS IN BETWEEN ROCK.THIS ROCK PHASE SLOW DOWN SEA WAVES TO GREAT EXTENT TOWARDS THE BEACH.PEOPLE CAN ENJOY SUNSET FROM THESE ROCKS.

Nothing sort of garden. It's just a remnant rock on sea. Additional to Kovalam beach. Sunrise and sunset is more clear. U can take snaps . Not a wow place

Very nice place to visit. I would call it a tourist hotspot. Great natural scenery with the majestic sea, dancing waves and the huge lighthouse nearby. But, yes I felt a bit disappointed on seeing the exploitation of the cactus plants and rocks by so-called civilised tourists. Seiously, people need to stop writing their names on any surface they find in a public place. That's straightaway a violation of laws as you are causing harm to a tourist spot which isn't a private property of yours.

Super island rock garden in Kovalam seashore. It's a place of vegetation and shade at the centre of beach. Superb view of lighthouse from here. We can see Hawa beach & light house on the left , Kovalam Beach on the right. Cacti in the island adds beauty to the landscape.
