2022 February update:
Currently the entry to waterfall foots are restricted due to recent accident and corona conditions. You can have a look at the waterfall from the distance separated by fences. You are not allowed to enter the water body in these premises. Hydroelectric project building office is nearby and must take prior appointment or permission to enter there.
Presently the water level is low and not much to witness the waterfalls. The area is very good for bird watchings. Some rare species of western ghats are available around here.

It is an amazing place. I went in July2022 and close entry to waterfall is restricted. But you can enjoy the place and have quick bathe in nearby valleys that flow out of this waterfall. And total atmosphere is very much serene. You have to take entry ticket, cost 25inr for adult and 15inr for children. Before entering the waterfall area, you have a provision to change dress and you have to pay separately.

Meenwallam Waterfalls is in Palakkad District. Very beautiful place to visit. But now visitors are not allowed to go near the waterfalls due to some accidents happened by ignorance of visitors

The review was posted on 28/08/2022. One of the most beautiful waterfall in Palakkad. But this waterfall is 30km away from the town. Must visit on rainy season. We have to walk abiut 1km to reach the main waterfalls. We can only see the water falls visitors not allowed to play in the waterfall. But we can play in water on the other side of the water falls. We have to buy tickets to enter the water falls. But the ticket counter is 2km away from the waterfalls entrance. If you are using google map choose the vehicle as car. If you put vehicle as bike the road is closed due to water.

A very nice scenic place.. one can see the waterfalls and few streams.. thick forested place with lush greenery. The road leading to the falls is quite a rough ride but once you get there, you will forget it. RS 25 PER person is the entry fee.

There is a small cafe where you can have coffee and snacks. The place is about 30 kms from palakkad.

The waterfalls is barricaded and one can see from a distance only. But in the stream flowing , one can enjoy .

It is the beautiful place if there water.
There was no water on the day I went because water is only released there on Sundays.
Rest of the days most of the water will take to power station. Most of visitors visiting on Sunday. There are small streams near the water falls , that is very beautiful.
If you want to visit there, you should go Sunday only.
Note:- nobody can’t get into the water or take bath, it strictly prohibited.
That’s why i have rated with 4 stars

A lady staff with the smiling face at the entrance has given warm welcome to the visiters with useful tips ..

We from Tamil Nadu enjoyed lot at meenwallam water falls. Water flow is 1/4 as compared to the season. But not a disappointing one ..

Though the access to the destination was rough and tough
Children enjoyed a lot
Elders were so thrilled to hear the elephants visit and it's adventurs from Mr. Umar, staff of the forest.

Unbelievable government staffs nice behaviour with tourist people.

Not to be missed spot.
Want to come again during rainy season.
