This is a small park named after swahid Peoli Phukon the famous assamese Martyr. The park is situated in the Eastern bank of famous Sivasagar Bor Pukhuri where he was burried. There is a huge statue of Swahid Peoli Phukon in the park. Peoli Phukon was hanged by British in the year 1830. He was hanged by British after he was found guilty of hatching a plot to drive away the British from Assam. His father was infamous Badan Borphukon who brought British to Assam.
The park deserves more attention from the govt as a respect to the famous Martyr but the same is not happening.

Piyoli Phukan was one of the earliest Assamese leaders to raise voice against Britsh rule. He was hanged by British in 1830 after he was found guilty of masterminding a conspiracy to drive away the British from Assam.

But the upkeep of the place is very poor. And deserves a better attention.
