This museum is one of the best one to know about our tradition and culture.The Putha statues are here which is the special one because once Nagapattinam is the main place of putha vihars in ancient years.

I m surprised to see a beautiful museum in an old strong building...
They have gud space... and well maintained..

Surprised to see a dinosaurs skeleton..

They have diff minerals, woods, sediments...
Preserved insects, shell fish, stone sculptures too

Visiting hrs 9 30 am to 05 pm

And they charge 5 rs for adults and 3 rs for kids

Must visit place here...
But there was no visitors when i went...

Not nice

This is a must visit place for all especially students..Here various arts, historical documents, stone statues found in different periods across the district and other districts are displayed. Ancient Coins, Ancient Household Appliances, Weapons, Tools and Musical Instruments are displayed here. Botanical and biological specimens are on display!
