This place is not only for defense employees... However on Saturday it's officers day and civilians are not permitted... This theater is better than other cinema halls in Ooty... It's far cleaner and safe.... At canteen opt for moms or stuffs like that u'll like it...

It is a movie theater situating inside wellingtin military campus. It allows public to watch the films. Rs. 50/- per ticket. Malayalm, tamil, telugu, hindi films are playing here. Daily 2 shows 15.30 & 16.30pm

Best place for a movie in this area. Cinema hall is a very historic place. Nicely maintained. Being senior citizen, We saw the movie yesterday night show. I would like (rather all people similar to us) to point out area for improvement; 1. provide a ramp also to give comfort to arthritis patient and 2. Sound level to be enough so as people can hear easily and enjoy the film (like I Couldn't not hear 50% dialogue due to hard of hearing). Feedback once a month from the viewer will be a good tool for improvement.

Good theater its an army theater and u have hotel next to it and timings are for first show its at 3:00 and second show is at 6:30 and on Saturday you cant go for second show because that day is for officers and tickets price are same there is no first class or last. Class

The hall is quite good and the movie shows are also good, though being a Defense cinema has movies of all genres, the variety of movies is more than the variety of saree's a women rejects in an hour,, well remaining u are intelligent enough to understand.

A nice theatre experience for the local folks of Coonoor town under a low cost.....
Only limited movies are screened....
Expect a bunch of New Hollywood and other Indian movies to be screened....
With slight technical advancement the theatre can play its next level......

This movie theatre is really so good place for family, it is maintained by Indian army, so you should maintain so disciplin in the theatre premises you cannot whistle inside theatre, The theatre and its premises will be so clean and tidy, civilians are allowed in this theatre, I had very good experience by watching movies in this theatre

The movie theatre is for the military personnel but they allow everyone on all days except on weekends, some shows are reserved for the officers.
Used to go there to watch Hindi movies.
They exhibit all languages but hindi movies will be there everyday for the hindi speaking soldiers in the Cantonment.
Well maintained, with enough parking space.
