District Library - Paschim Medinipur

I am very much thankful to this Library... not every book I search I can get here but most of the cases they try to provide based on our/my demands.... And this is how I have saved my moneys...and this library needs some updates and they try...happy with their terms and conditions... POOR STUDENTS CAN BE HELPFUL WITH WBCS COACHING CLASSES.....LIBRARY REMAINS CLOSE EVERY 2ND & 4TH SATURDAY, INCLUDING HOLIDAYS.....OF STATE GOVT.....

This library has a collections of hundreds of books and journals. There are several types of memberships available here for lending of books and other materials. Even, reading room is open-to-use to the public as well, at free of cost. Apart from circulating books among the patrons, various socio-cultural activities are also undertaken.

Being an old one it has a past glory of its own, a pride to our district, excellent environment , huge space , tremendous stock , well behaved staff. Library members can seat and read books magazines etc as their choices. By the issued library card, one can collect books novels etc from library to pass leisure time at home also.

Book lover and reader... always great wellcome in this particular place of our district...so many books (New & Old) collections available for there... Great place, peaceful atmosphere, Nice and helpful stuff. But the number of book readers is very small.

Very nice place for reading. No noise is there. But the only issue is that the table and chair should be more clean and clear.

Best District Library in Eastern India awarded by Central Government.under the RRRLF.In the year 2001-2002.
