Golden Orchid-The Lodge

Rooms are neat & clean... But don't provide room heater... Location are not good enough... Mall are 5minutes far away from hotel... They have a cafe which was quite tasty food.. But too much high price... Washroom was also neat & clean & big... & they provide also a friendly service.

1. Room was very basic with respect to the price.
2. Construction work continued till 10.30 / 11 pm and made the experience worst.
3. The mattress was very bad.
4. Had to change the first room because the toilet had leakage problem.
5. They gave us cheapest/poor quality toiletries without toothpaste and brush.
6. The room wasnt properly cleaned after the previous guest.
7. The only advantage is that it is 7 min away from the Mall.

It's 5 min walking distance from the mall. We stayed in a suit. The room was spacious, beautiful and with mountain view. There was 2 bathroom, 1 kitchen with it. Tv, wifi, geyser, bed warmer blanket, telephone all are there. Staffs are very polite and helpful. They have helped us all the way they can. The only drawback of the lodge to me is the food. The quality of the food according to the price is not at all up to the mark.

Views partially obstructed. However, Restaurant and waiters’ services were good. Food was excellent. No room heating available. electric bed warmers were provided. Steep walk up. Vehicles are not allowed to go to the hotel entrance. They will drop you 500m away. (Security reasons as there are VIP residences nearby). So will be a problem if you have senior citizens travelling with you. (Hotel owners will also mention the same while sending the booking confirmation). Near from Mall Road

The rooms are beautiful and well equipped with necessary facilities. Heated mattress is available in some room. You have free wifi with co-working space. Mall is within 5 minutes walking distance. They have in house dining but according to price the quantity of food is extremely low. Compared to any other restaurant it's less than half plate at the same price, so I suggest DINE OUT. Cars might not be able to reach the door step due to local traffic restrictions(HIGH SECURITY ZONE). You have to walk 5 to10 minutes distance from the car(Nearest drop off TV TOWER / PRASAR BHARATI TOWER).

I enjoyed every minute of my stay in Golden Orchid. We came first for the food and then decided to move there for a few days. The rooms were really clean (especially for the area), the view was also really good. There is no heating, but it was warm enough in the building (we had a comparison) and there are heated bed sheets. The best part was the staff and the ambience of the place, we would chill in the restaurant all the time, it was really cute and relaxing. The owner would try his best to give us the best experience. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

It was a great great experience at Golden Orchid-The Lodge. First to note the rooms are very clean & comfy. Everyone was polite to us. The rooftop bar cum restaurant was just lit. The services and accessories provided within are perfect partners to fulfill your trip with a comfortable experience.
I had a very comfy and warm experience within the chilly winters of Darjeeling.

Our entire stay was completely satisfying in the hotel.. They are having rooms that are upto the mark and nonetheless were their services. They give free wifi- access which is mediocre as a service but they also provide bedside heater which is highly important at the time of low temperature, that I truly loved in the list of their services.
The ambience of the room and the hotel entrance was also breathtaking... Besides the services, little awkward I felt is about their restaurant rates which were bit high other than that including staffs behavior were also truly appreciating!!!
