Best place to stay for views and peace.. Truly the best. The view from the bed of Kanchenjungha and the entire cannot be matched even from the several view points. The observatory suite is pure bliss too.

Cedar Inn is a beautiful resort little away from Mall Road hustle bustle and traffic yet not too far. Best part is they provide a shuttle to Mall road market for your convenience. The place is amazing with scenic valley view and beautiful garden view. It is a new property built in old Swiss style. Rooms are cozy, clean and offer heated mattresses which are a delight in cold weather. Food spread is limited but very tasty and the restaurant manager Pravesh is very friendly, great host and your go to person for your food cravings. He served us delicious Thookpa on our request. Hotel staff is cooperative and always smiling.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Loved everything about this place- right from the warm welcome we received on arrival to the breathtaking view of the Kanchenjunga straight from our bedroom window. Our room was cozy and clean.It had old world charm with the fireplace where we gathered in the evening over a hot cup of darjeeling tea. Staff- very friendly, proactive and made our stay a memorable one. Food- Excellent! The breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome.Most of them were made from locally grown fresh vegetables.I especially loved the beet root juice they served in the morning and the Lachha paratha served hot. Overall- a great place for any occasion.It's a little piece of heaven on earth.Highly recommend and definitely coming back!!

This was my personal favourite hotel in our Sikkim-Darjeeling trip. It is a property constructed to give an old vibe. It certainly achieves its goal as every part of the hotel feels like an old American wooden cabin style architecture. It feels amazing roaming the property with the dim lighting and cozy sitouts.
The rooms are amazing and feature a great view. They tend to get cold so an amazing feature provided are the heated mattresses. This is a great facility as you can comfortably enjoy heated beds while being in a cold region. However, some rooms are situated on upper floors so I would not advise this hotel for senior citizens.
The service is incredible. The staff is smiling and always available to help you. The hotel is far from Mall Road so the hotel provides a shuttle to and fro the market. It is extremely convenient and drops you near the market. This is a truly great facility as you can enjoy the comfort of the property while also being connected with the market.
Food spread at the in-house restaurant buffet was great. It came in a lot of variety and the taste was great as well. A highlight was the local delicacy 'Thukpa' which is like Ramen. They made it for us on request and didnt charge anything extra for it. It was such a nice gesture and just shows how much the staff wants you to feel welcome and comfortable.
Overall, I'm convinced this is the best hotel in the city. The rooms and service are unmatched and this is THE hotel to stay in Darjeeling 5/5

Amazing staff, excellent location, great views of the Himalayas, superb food. Very courteous staff overall. They make you feel at home. Pick up and drop available for visiting Mall Road. Their tour guide show you beautiful and scenic places.
Will definitely recommend to stay at Cedar inn.

This property is beautiful beyond words the staff are all very polite and really helpful. Food quality and quantity is good. This hotel made my days in Darjeeling more interesting. But one funny thing is that during check out, the security guard started bickering with the housekeeping staff for tips. ,😧

It is a super luxury hotel in Darjeeling. Arrive and you’re enveloped in service and hospitality. Beautifully maintained property. Especially Tenzin la was kind enough to show us around the lovely property . We loved the property along with the perfect view of Kanchenjunga from our room. Would definitely visit again.

Cedar Inn Review
My best friend and I stayed at the Cedar Inn on our first trip to Darjeeling together, and we could not have asked for a better experience. We were immediately welcomed with a warmth that one feels with their family and courteously escorted to our room. After freshening up, the concierge was extremely helpful in planning our time in Darjeeling. We came with a list of to do items, and we were kindly guided in making an itinerary that helped us cover all the places and activities we had in mind- we wouldn’t have been able to do this by ourselves! In fact, a member of the staff checked on us the next day to give us further suggestions and made sure that we had a great day. That was so thoughtful!
We were served so kindly for each meal and every time we asked for a nice cup of warm coffee (even at 9PM). We felt our presence was welcomed and positively received every moment. The staff at Cedar Inn defined what true hospitality is. Everyone we met was friendly- from those at the restaurant, to cleaning staff, and even the security guards at the gate, and it’s the people who influence one’s experience the most.
In general, Cedar Inn has an idyllic feel with its lovely little gardens and sitting spaces. Also, as a bookworm, I loved the fact that there were books on all the side tables and they even had two book cases with a pretty great collection! Because of its location, we were able to get breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga (we were so fortunate that it was visible during our time).
We loved our room (we were in an executive suite), with once again the beautiful views, heated blankets and general cleanliness and organization of the space. We were comfortable throughout.
Finally, what was extremely helpful was the free shuttle that Cedar Inn provided that took guests from the hotel to a central location near Mall Road. All we had to do was call/tell the front desk and the shuttle was readily available to us- this made getting around much easier, and cost-friendly!
Cedar Inn struck a special chord in our hearts and we will certainly be back!
