The Ivanhoe House Hotel

We had no idea of Ivanhoe House till we checked it on 27th December 2022. We were two families. My notion of an usual hotel was completely done away with its colonial setup with a vintage feel. Situated very near to the Mall, the hotel was more than a feel of the colonial era. The rooms are spacious with an equally attractive fireplace,carpeted floors and an organised washroom. Above all, we were greeted with smiles from the Manager and the two charming housekeeping ladies and we never felt any inconvenience in our two-days stay. Everything was taken care of by them so well. I greatly enjoyed my stay there. Would love to go again.

Along with my family , I stayed in this Heritage hotel for almost a week during the Durga Puja holidays. The room was excellent and our stay was both comfortable and pleasant. The staff are helpful and most importantly the manager Rupamda is very cooperative and helpful. Staying in the same room that some of the legends of Hollywood had stayed in is an altogether wonderful experience. The food is also very tasty.

This is a nice place to stay, all the staffs are so nice and their behaviour is too good.. the quality of food also good.. all the rooms and wash room are clean and well maintained.. over all this Ivanhoe house is too nice and enjoyable..

Manager Rupam Dey behaviour excellent, staffs are cooperative and Hotels rooms like heritage building.Fooding quality also good.

Lovely rooms, the overall hotel needs to be cleaner though. The location is five minute walk from the Mall main square. Everest, Mallory, Vivial Leigh and other celebrities have stayed here.

Very poorly maintained place. We took 3 rooms for 4 nights. It was a complete disaster. Water dripping from ceiling, damp walls, non functioning geyser, v. Poor foood. To top it all, the staff here are thief. They even admitted to the theft, and same was reported to the management.

Booked for 2 days and 2 nights,
i.e. 31 dec and 1 Jan.
No attendent. No food. No drinking water. Was given dirty bed lenins used by previous guest. Messy & dirty kitchen. Dirty rooms. Highly prized. Total disaster. Not recommended.
