The pictures in booking.com were completely misleading. The room given to us was dingy with paint chipping off the wall. The washroom was tiny. Moreover, it did not offer a view of the lake at all. The three stars awarded is only because of the awesome terrace at the end of a long corridor and the cooperation extended by the owner when we changed hotels at the end of our first day there.

I was cheated like many others by fraudulent claims, and overexaggerated claims of hotel on phone and website. It is 4 times overpriced hotel. The hotel owner Kshitiz Agarwal himself has written reviews on his own hotel, posing as a Fake customer on Google and other travel websites, which confirms that the quality of the hotel is extremely dirty and poor and charges huge amounts of Rs 4000 per room for double bed and Rs 8000 per room for deluxe family room. Cheap tactics won't lead him anywhere.
· 1.)Worst hotel ever run by a fraud conman, no electricity for 1 full night, location was not as good as claimed by hotel owner. Hotel is reached after climbing very steep 100-150 steps of staircase, as if they are located on 8th and 9th floor of an old and dirty constructed property. Staircase is extremely dirty and filthy. No lift facility. 2.)Sewage and drainage flowing at entrance. Sometimes Smell of urine and stool through out the hotel. 3.)Rooms have insects. Rooms are tiny, not what is shown in the picture. Blankets provided were stinking and dirty. No power back up, no wifi, no internet connection, no new soap (Only a used soap is provided) , no shampoo, no toilet paper, no toothpaste. Very unsafe for families, as it gets extremely dark, when there is no electricity. 4.)There is a small terrace which is shared by 4 rooms. Rooms have old and broken wooden furniture which shakes badly when you sit on it. No lights in staircase even in night. Some people even fell down. Many Spiders and insects on bed. No permanent roof specifically for my room, just a tin sheet covered by temporary bricks and cemented together. 6.) Manager of hotel is always asking for money and not providing any good service in return. No drinking water supplied unless and until asked for. Breakfast is served after waiting time of 2 hours. 5.) Highly overpriced. Hotel Shalimar and others are reasonably priced and better located and much better managed. Neighborhood hotel managers, fellow hotel occupants and several cab drivers told me that general hotel feedback is pretty bad and highly unpopular and gets booked only during peak season,when all other hotels are already booked. This confirms that this is the worst hotel in Nainital. I did a mistake of ignoring negative reviews written on booking.com and I suffered. My Overall rating 0/5

Booked a room by paying an advance of one day. The rooms weren't like what they had shown in the pictures, due to which we decided to search for a better option. They refused to return the advance when we reached the hotel, but agreed for complementary breakfast, which was already part of the package. Next morning, we ordered the breakfast, they asked us to send a server from our hotel, which was located just beside it. They even didn't serve the breakfast in their own utensils. The staff of our current hotel, Shalimar DX, agreed to provide utensils for the same, Talking about the food, the tea was below average and paranthas were burnt.

Location, food and staff courtesy was excellent... I went to this hotel with friends they provided me the pickup and drop facility from the parking area. We enjoyed alot over the hotel. And the mountain and lake view from this hotel is amaze....

Food is also waste. 7. Bad bedding mattress. 8. Water can go anytime. 9. Washrooms smell so bad. 10. It is at too height from mall road.

Very poor and horrifying experience.. Rooms and bathrooms are very dirty. No proper arrangement for hot water. Staff is very rude and unprofessional. Dont stay in this hotel even they are offering you without money. No TV, no arrangement for power backup. Overall a very very poor hotel in all aspects.

They are so Unprofessional, We went hotel and there was a person who was calling himself the Owner. 1. He was so Rude and Disgusting! He even doesn't know , how to Talk! 2. Room and washroom were so dirty and Unhygienic! 3. staff was very Unprofessional! 4. No value for Money 5. No water, Rooms were smelling like hell! 6 . Electrcity can go anytime, and they don't Take Responsibility for this! 7 Never ever visit this hotel
