It's a good hotel on the bank of river Ganges near Har ki Pauri. Location wise it's excellent. As it is maintained by government, the maintenance needs to be improved. Staffs are good. Food is also good. Only maintenance of hotel is an issue.

Location is of very top class but rooms are very old and not maintained properly. AC and all was very old and beds were not comfortable atall. Staff behaviour was good but the receptionist was very rude and un co-operative. We had arranged lunch for 20 people food taste was not upto the mark and on top of this Ac was not working in dying area and after asking there behaviour was very bad.

Watch out the stars and decide.
Not worth the price they charge.
GMVN took over the place 3-4 months back from UPSTDC, under which i would say if not the best but they were better than GMVN.
SEEN a lot of difference during my stay in April and in September recently. Food and service all went down though it was not any better in the formers reign. Would count pathetic in terms of rental vs facility. Better to accommodate urself in some Dharamshala nearby.

Best hotel as far as Location is concerned. Good place if you have small children with you as it has lot of open spaces. Ghat is accessible from Hotel rear entrance, so you can have Ganga snan every Morning. Beautiful view of Ganga from outside of room.
Staff is very courteous. Food is Homely and clean ( I would prefer it over large buffets)
Downside is the rooms, which are old fashioned (like government guest house). At 3300+ it is a bit pricey for quality of rooms but location and staff makes it up for it.

Stayed here with family during October 2nd to 4th 2022.

This is a beautiful place for those seeking a quiet place and having the Ganga at your backyard.
The property is very old and recently got transferred to GMVN (Uttarakhand,) . The rooms are spacious and has all the basic facilities like a TV, AC, Fridge , Geyser etc. (For Deluxe and AC suites) . However the items are very old and needs replacement/refurbishment.
The restaurant downstairs prepares healthy and tasty food and has a young and caring chef.
The Reception desk has got very polite and helpful staff and the service team is great too.
The best thing is that there is a Lift which is working fine and is so helpful especially for the elderly people.
The location of the hotel is the best thing about your stay .
You can take a dip in the Ganga just few steps away from the hotel and walk down the ghat to reach Har ki Pauri.
There is a small temple inside the Hotel Complex and a priest organises morning and evening Aarti.
It looks like this property will undergo major facelift and refurbishment and that may mean a temporary closure.
If you are planning to visit Haridwar in the next few months you can plan a stay and enjoy the place.

Very nice hotel near the ganga river. Very good sceneric view from this hotel. Only the problem is it's very expensive. Around 5000/room for just a day excluding food and other things.

Best hotel that I have visited, very nice views both frontside and backside. Very good hotel location if we stay here because at backside of the hotel we can straightly to river's Gangga banks, we are able to enjoy the alpha sound of rivers Gangga flows so make our quite meditation to be calmed. Near to go to Gangga Aatri only by foot also near to white Siva's statue or Durga Temple... Still stay nice in my memory.
