Hotel Germanus

This is supposed to be one of premium hotel in Madurai. They charged 5000+ per night for twin sharing. In fact we stayed from 10PM and checked out at 7:30AM. We took two rooms.

Failure 1
They failed to inform before hand that they don't have hot water facility from evening. This facility is supposed to be a bare minimum requirement for a premium hotel and for the price they charged.

Failure 2
Poor house keeping and room service
They charged Rs.47/- for a water bottle

Failure 3
It's should be considered as a lodge for the dirty bathrooms, 1 used bedsheet out of service lifts

Failure 4
Couple of guests locked out in lift and emergency key has to be used to open and get them out. Lift buttons are broken and there is no 1st floor button in one of lift.

Failure 5
There are ladies bindi stickers pasted in stinky bath room and on room walls

Failure 6
They will claim they have called you back with out called for any service

Failure 7
They have WIFI facility that would not connect as couple of foreign nationals filed in vain and gave up after trying for 10min. We did not even bother to try also.

Failure 8
Some think that we all could not help laughuing is that that resturant does not have an hand wash inside. One has to come complete out of resturant to wash our hands which is at entrance of hotel and visible to public road letting them now what we ate :)

Very Outstanding services they provide specially Mrs Lilly (house maid ) from house keeping Department she is an amazing maid taking care of everything very actively and care fully i made a special bond with her like a mother she is very polite and caring nature we were staying from last 4days she given us a excellent services and taken care of everything she knows a very fluent english and we enjoyed talking with her when ever we got the time wishing very best to her future❤️🫡✨

One of the best hotels in Madurai. It is set in the heart of the city with access to public transport. The staff are friendly and courteous. Call and reserve your stay. Ample parking is available within the hotel premises. There's a bar in the basement and a cafe besides the hotel. Stay includes free breakfast for all guests. Others can have buffet breakfast at ₹550, lunch at ₹750 and dinner at ₹850.

Stayed two nights over here. Room was good, room services especially laundry service was excellent. However, breakfast can be improved. There was also an insect “Grayling” in the toilet bowl (ladies) at the ground floor. Please look into that.

I had booked a Junior Suite room at Hotel Germanus.The room was very comfortable and spacious. All the amenities in the room and hotel were good. The breakfast buffet was tasty. All the staff in the hotel, especially the reception staff, were very friendly and helpful.
The room is ideal for a group of 4 people. All my family members liked the hotel.

Buffet was good. Varieties of veg and non veg were pretty good. Naan could have been served which will be usually added. Ambience was cool. We enjoyed the evening!

They have charged around rupees 6500+, last time we stayed in hotel Amica. It was super good . Same cost, but only thing was its distance, shud be about 8km to the temple . We did a mistake by choosing Germanus.
Here in germanus one bottle of water that costs 20 is charged 47!!! What is this a star hotel category?

Business class 3 star hotel- with no hot water, no water heating kettles, mosquito equipped rooms, sub standard beds, and rough sheets

5 star service from a 3 star hotel. From the reception to the room and breakfast, everything was excellent. Keep up the good work
