Hotel over all experience 2/10 Location 8/10 Cleaning 6/10 Facility 3/10
I like: Restaurent shows experience on food quality & great menu location good as well Staff & reception team welcomed us as kings ( love that way )
I didn’t like: Hotel listed under 5 star hotel but reality it’s 3 star hotel. Smell of dated furniture & carpets. Most of the furniture, toilets, doors, cabinets, windows & locks required to be changes .. I saw hall hotel require major renovations. Blankets and linens need to be replaced. at least the Pillows that are dirty and have stains on them need to be taken out of the hotel. Wi-Fi connection not stable. The room rates are very high compared to the services.

The location was amazing. The staff was quiet hospitable & kind although the service in general wasn’t great.Food was the most disappointing & not even close to any decent food. I booked & paid for my hotel dinner, buffet however I regretted that I shouldn’t have opted for the hotel food as there are many good food options available in Gangtok.

Loved it. Place is beautiful and gives you the natural feel of sikkim and luxury at the same time. Highly recommend

Pros: The hotel is beautifully decorated. Staff is very polite and friendly. Our room was upgraded by the staff themselves when we arrived. Location of the hotel is very good. View from the room is very good.
Two of the major cons: 1. When we arrived Our bedsheet and pillow covers had few hair and seemed dirty. I had to ask the staff to change them. They did change all promptly! But i don't expect this kind of housekeeping after paying so much. 2. Food was not so great. Also i expected some Aunthentic sikkimese dishes which they didn't have on their set menu. Since they have buffet system the food was cold.

The property, along with the view it offers, and their adorable pet Hilton totally deserve a 4 star. But the seemingly ‘heritage’ property have been selling on that, and haven’t managed to renovate the premises in a long time. The restaurant offers really tasty food, thought the breakfast menu was limited and repetitive. We enjoyed our dinner a lot! The service is top-notch and everyone is quite soft spoken and helpful. I wouldn’t call the property luxurious only because of the rooms, I expected them to be relatively new/maintained. You can see a sense of old-ness in their furniture, bath tub and lamps. But in all, totally recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Gangtok. The male receptionist/manager during the day shift was extremely helpful and sweet.
