Hotel Soyang UVA

Hi,Please do not go. The hotel's location is near to MG Marg but the street that connects MG Marg to this hotel is a very quite alley that goes up to the entrance of the hotel. This alley gives you a scary feeling if you access it after 9 or 10 in the night singly or specially as a couple. The building is definitely a heritage structure but except the reception area, all the spaces look shady and unhygienic. If you talk about the room then the room has a red carpet which is filthy. The bed sheet and the blanket provided was also filthy and old. The room has many spider webs all up on the ceiling that seems to give a haunted-house feeling. The room had cigarette ash fallen over the window's sill and if you open the window of any side then there's a filthy backyard stinking with garbage down along with other buildings obstructing any possible view. If you are a honey-moon couple/ family then I can just recommend you to not book this hotel for the amount that have put is not worth it!ThanksV Jain

We booked this hotel cause it's near MG marg. The hotel has heritage look from inside and it's decent hotel. If you want view from your window or balcony you don't have it cause the hotel is located between many buildings. The hotel services are really good. and the food (breakfast) is also good..

it is a very basic hotel not worth. Food was good also the behaviour of hotel staff is quite nice. But facilities and rooms are pretty average I must sayGood for family

It was nice experiance, its near by MG Marg only, hotel was clean, foods also tasty and hotel staffs behaviour also good, humble

The beauty of Gangtok is unparalleled and the view from the rooftop is something not to be missed, whether it’s in the morning or at night.The warm and cozy Hospitality of the hotel staff leaves you speechless.Since it is a heritage hotel , the old school charm along with the positive and cozy vibe makes you feel special in every way. Sure there are some tinkering to be done here and there like every hotel which is a century old , but I think it’s a part of it and that’s the charm of a heritage hotel.The stay was wonderful. A must visit recommendation to everyone planning a vacation in Gangtok .The team was very friendly and homely.
