The Birder's Inn

This is such an amazing place. Like spending time out of time and out of the usual Indian hassle. It is a beautiful resort, green with trees and plants well taken care of, a charming pool, staff that are so nice and helpful and rooms that made us feel like king and queen, huge bed, very nice furniture, a desk to write a novel on, sitting area and a big bathroom and all so clean and tidy with room service every day. Very nice Breakfast is included. We got plenty of help from the staff for booking a tour guide, taxis, movie ticket and what not. Above all the place is a haven for bird lovers. Situated 5 minutes walk from the Keoladeo National Park and the walls are covered with photos and paintings of birds so artisitcally made. We stayed for five nights to give ourselves good time at the end our one month journey in India and it was the best choice we could make. And not expensive at all. We are definitely coming back.

If you are visiting The UNESCO world Heritage Bird Sanctuary of Bharatpur/Keoladeo Bird Reserve then this is the Nest you should make your place to stay.

I have visited and stayed here twice and both the times I am very pleased with this Hotel.

Situated very near to the Gate of the Bird reserve and the best part very early from morning 04:30 am you can get Rickshaw guide service too visit the Park just front of the gate of this Hotel.

Rooms and the decoration of this hotel is excellent, all the staffs are very co-operative and friendly.

I specially enjoyed the palace kind of feeling to stay and specially the bon fire every evening . Food are also very good but a little costly as it is through out all the Hotels/Resorts put here.

Next time visiting here solo or with your family try this property.

This was my second visit to The Birder's Inn and sadly it ended up in a major disappointment. Although the rooms were clean, the service at the restaurant was appalling, to say the least. The immediate response to all our food requests was a resounding 'No'. I was travelling with my 5 year old daughter and I, at least, expected to get some tawa chapatis and dosa for her but the staff cited unavailability and refused to accomodate! Even the plain steamed rice that we asked for was served very grudgingly as it was not a part of the buffet. So, if you are travelling with kids and thinking of staying here, think twice be prepared with enough food that your kid likes.

Not worth the money. We paid INR 4200 for a night for 2 adults, including breakfast.

Good points:
- Clean and Hygienic place
- Gave an oil heater to keep the room warm, unlike other hotels where you get electric wire heater
- Comfortable bed and linen

Improvement points:
- Parking outside the hotel
- Food is very average. Limited options in both dinner and breakfast buffet
- In winters, getting hot water was a struggle. Their solar panels do not work. They should install geysers
- Reception desk didn't seem to be very open for feedback.

Had a good time staying here. This place is at a stone's throw from the Bharatpur Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary. The hotel staff is good. The hotel can arrange for all other services as well such as airport travel, bird guide and other logistics required for sanctuary visit.

The hotel can arrange for packed breakfast in case you plan to visit Sanctuary early morning hours (before 7 am). The hotel can arrange for packed lunch as well that can be picked by your day long cycle rickshaw person. That way you can spend the whole day in the Sanctuary especially for avid Birders and Photographers.

We booked Birder's Inn based on internet research, but little did we know that it would turn out to be a little gem tucked 300mts from the bird park. The rooms were large, clean, with everything working, the beds were super comfortable, and the icing on the cake was the amazing food and service by the staff. Despite being full, they catered to all our needs withing minutes with a smile. The buffet meals had a surprise each time. We had to reschedule our trip a couple of times and they were most accomodating of that. Lovely place...must visit!

Very pleasantly surprised by this fairly recently built hotel. The rooms and compound are beautiful. The service and restaurant were very nice. Most people staying there are presumably birders or naturalists visiting the nearby Sanctuary (5 minutes' walk). Only the bathroom could have been slightly better cleaned (curtain wasn't too fresh). All at a very reasonable price.

This was our second stay at birders inn during our Jan trip to Bharatpur
We always prefer this ( or it’s sister hotel sunbird) as it’s location is perfect being bang next to the sanctuary .
They have very decent rooms and one can even take their cycles to the sanctuary .
The food ( buffet) has definitely improved and has more variety though still may be difficult for foreigners as it’s Indian and fairly spicy .
They give packed breakfast for the enthusiastic early birders and have a few evening bonfire also
There is Quite a bit of mosquito menace and sometimes there is disturbance from loud music from adjoining hotels hosting functions.
Sashank as usual was very helpful and so is their staff
Toiletries are limited so carry them with you .
Overall a very convenient place to spend a few days birding in Bharatpur
