Hotel Sarovar - A Boutique Lake Facing Hotel On Lake Pichola

We took lake view room, room is good with superb view of lake pichola, resort is always happy to assist in all matters. It's in the main market, so you can visit nearby market by walking and auto rickshaw is just standing outside. Restaurant has amazing lake view with tasty dishes and in weekends they have live jamming music so it's a good place for couples and families. They provided me extra bed without any cost so I am very thankful to the management and staffs.

Watching sunrise from hotel window in front of silently flowing lake Pichhola is just soul relaxing. The hotel is well managed in old Udaipur streets. Quite interesting to watch some very old pics on walls of gallery. Rooftop restaurant serves amazing food. Memorable stay.

This is one of the hotel located on Lake Pichola with magnificent lake side view from the window and I admit one must see sunrise from the window on one day and try sitting in the specially curated lounge at the ground floor early in the morning to experience the lake view.
This hotel is is very near to the Ambrai Ghat from where we have very great morning(after 7AM) and evening(ensure you reach before 9 PM) view of the Lake Pichola.
Roof top restaurant is having really great morning and night views. This rooftop restaurant is good for morning breakfast and can have more options. Although for dinner I preferred Upre Restaurant which is just next to this premises towards Ambrai lake.
NOT having LIFT was not an issue for us but surely help for elderly people and considering such high-end pricing. Staff is quite helpful and there is chance to improve room-service.
NO PARKING available for this hotel but there are paid parking sites near the hotel area and guest houses for driver/chauffer are available at reasonable rates in the nearby area(so driver can have rest in night and get fresh in morning).
Since the hotel is in OLD city it is evident that you need to take little risk for vehicles like Innova which needs to be specially managed on such narrow lanes...but locals here are quite used to that and help in managing the blockage if any.
Great:
1. Overall it was pleasant stay and city tourist places are on walking distance(10 minutes) and quite accessible like Jagadish Temple and City Palace.
2. Lake view from the room
3. Roof-top views in morning and night is pleasnt.
Suggestions:
1. Room service can be improved, especially laundry cleaning
2. Roof-top can accommodate small toys for children
3. Hotel management at reception can promote Ambrai ghat for your customers and suggest timings accordingly which will give mesmerizing overall experience / stay in Udaipur.
4. Pro-active assistance in off-loading and loading luggage before the vehicle arrives would be really appreciated like one for the staff managing the traffic and other be at the hotel entrance for quick action.

I haven't been to this hotel specifically, but we been to the restaurant this place holds. Totally amazing view to be in. Surreal and the hotel was magical too. I am going to book it next time for sure.

A very beautiful experience with hotel Sarovar.
The management is very caring.
The rooms were properly cleaned.
We took the lake facing room and room was very big. The amenities were also nice.
The reception desk was very nice, they helped us in keeping our luggage when we check out so that we can travel properly and then afterwards collect our bag.

Talking about the food it was also very nice. Lots of options to eat.

Rooms are good and the breakfast is okayish...it's just another hotel by the lake...but only benefit it has is ita by the lake and the lake view rooms are actually lake facing...but nothing else is too good to praise about ..

Stayed with family at Hotel Sarovar for 3 nights in Deluxe Lake Facing AC Room. Hotel is located on the peaceful side of the lake away from city hustle and offers amazing lake view from its lake facing rooms. Most of the other good hotels like Hotel Lake Pichola, Amet Haveli, Udai Kothi are located on this side only. Do take Auto to reach the hotel.
Some positive points:
Value for Money: Hotel was overall good in good budget. Clean rooms with good size
Location: Exactly on Lake, peaceful location, good lake view rooms and at a walking distance to Ambrai Ghat, Jagdish Temple, City Palace and other spots.
Service Quality: Good Staff behavior specially MR Suresh at reception, very polite person
Bike, Auto services available just outside the hotel
Hotel has roof top restaurant with good view and live music sometimes
Cons:
Should add more options to the breakfast buffet
Amenities: Hotel has no major amenities like pool, gym etc but it does not bothered us much because we visited during the winters
