Hotel La Franklin

An old classic hotel which somehow has managed to stay relevant amongst the newly grown corporate hotels and premium stays. It might not be the best in the range but you certainly get a relaxed vibe. Property has a good ambiance which comes alive with greenery around.
Food was decent if not good. Rooms are decently sized and linens were clean, thought pretty worn out and need replacing. Old noisy window ACs were a bit surprising. Buffet breakfast had limited options.
Important to note that even thought it's beside the highway, approach to the hotel is a bit tricky and you need a detour amongst parked trucks and industrial area. There aren't any nearby shops and food joints and area is not the best for an evening walk, so can't even enjoy the greenery.

Overall, would suggest to have a stay here once and enjoy the place.

Worst service ever calling 6 times for services still not getting.also cockroaches in room and not cleaned blanket,bathroom etc. Tv is not working only for showoff. Bad behaviour with customers. We ordered 2 curry and 9 rotis and we r 5 people but giving us 1 plate to eat. we called like 3 times to give plate at the end we complain behaving badly. Worst hotel service ever plz don't come here 🙏🏻.

Totally not worth the money they take, we paid 5k and were given a twin bed room with window AC. Lodges in our place are far better than this. The behaviour & attitude of the the staff is very rude.

The hotel was good no doubt, but few things to be noted. They loot you in the name of food and drinks, you don't have the option to bring outside food. I think the room charge cost me less than the food and beverage charges for 2 days.
In the name of 30ml of drinks they give you 15ml and moreover a glass of orange juice will cost you 100rs. 2 pieces of Rohu fish fry will cost you 360rs where's the whole fish would cost you like 200rs a kilo or so. 6 pieces of chicken lollipop will cost you 340-380rs. They will also loot you in the name of discounts.
This would have been justified if it was a 5star hotel.
Dissappointed with the charges for food and beverages but good for staycation.

I don't normally post bad reviews of anything, but this is exceptionally horrible, so I couldn't let this go. Our train was at night and we had some spare time, so we decided to kill the time here. There was no one at the entrance and the reception, which was quite difficult to locate, and I had to call 4 times in the phone number provided before I received an answer, who told me to call on another number or ring the calling bell. After about 10 minutes we were entertained. The caretaker asked for my Id proof and showed us to our room, which was horrible. It looked like it had not been opened for days.
Overall it was a nightmare. I certainly won't recommend this hotel.

Location wise it's not a great place and it's an industry area. Service too slow and mostly you find quite few services.
Very limited food options and they take 1 hour minimum for each item.

Location is 2km from BBS station. Room was not clean & furnished properly. Door was loose, no proper hook present. Bathroom was clean. Too much mosquito in the rooms. No fooding option present in the hotel.

Booked this property through Agoda .first visit to bhubaneshwar a totally new city .Reached this prepaid (complete payment) late evening. The reception totally denied our booking. We show all evidence of payments and bookings and also our previous correspondence with the property, but it was just a waste .They denied our stay and we were left with no other option than to look for another stay option in totally new place .I would never ever recommended this hotel to anyone.betterlook for a reliable option if you don't want to wander around and loose your money .
