One of the worst districts of Manipur that I have ever visited. Japhou Bazaar is also known as Chandel bazaar. There is alots to upgrade the place like roads, market etc.

Chandel has the full potential to become a organized town. It is dusty throughout the year. The town can look more pleasing if the roads were properly maintained to avoid dust and if trees were planted alongside the roads.
Well, after many decades, the roads have been very well developed. It is upto us now to maintained and care for it.
