Hotel Grand Gurez

The only good thing about this hotel is the attendant Altaf. Rest nothing is good, they will serve you break fast and dinner counting the number of roti. The manager treats as if he is doing favour by giving rooms.

Was travelling as a group with family & kids.The host Mr Nasir Khan is a thorough gentleman- a typical Gurazee, true to his word, gave us a lot of guidance, took us personally to some of the nearby spots, arranged our lunch in the green valleys of Gurez & was gracious enough to arrange our packed lunch on the day of our departure, which we relished on the Razdaan Top. One of the best places to stay in Gurez. Even though the resources are limited, they will do their best to make your stay comfortable. Special shoutout to FAIZAN. He took us around for hiking n brought us hot water in buckets.
Food was amazing. Served in typical guest house concept. The rooms were spacious and clean .

Avoidable. This place is in the middle of nowhere, and some distance away from the town centre. Although the host is a nice guy undoubtedly, they have no clue how to run a hospitality business. Gurez is a tough place to reach, and the least you expect in a remote location is a decent place to stay with some comfort. Grand Gurez does not have a kitchen, so obviously they don't offer any food, but even basic items like clean towels or drinking water, hot water were missing. There is no staff, so basically you are on your own and if the host has the time, MAYBE you can manage to get some attention. The prices are also premium, and we had to settle for this place because everything else was full. Bad decision. Consider this as your last resort (pun unintended), like we did. All you will get in the end would be a polite apology, like we did. Better stay at the Wood Vibes and by those standards, even Kaka Palace would be much much better.

Had a wonderful time at hotel grand gurez . The owner is just superb . Great hospitalibilty .. they have done their best to provide the best customer service with the limited resources which is provided by the government . Electricity is an issue in gureez . Will surely recommend the hotel to everyone.
