JKTDC Huts Gulmarg

We booked a 2bhk cottage for four of us. There's absolutely no doubt that the cottages have a stunning view, however, the place is in need of a serious maintenance. The place is spacious, well lit but basic amenities like clean linens isn't available. Like a lot of reviewers mentioned earlier, the blankets do stink. They don't provide meals but they do have a kitchen which is, well, let's just say barely manageable. The market is at a walking distance wherein you can get groceries. There are small shacks that serve decent food but it is pricey. All in all the best thing about this place is the view which is the only thing that was pleasant about staying here. Carry linens with you if you do wanna stay in these cottages cos this again is a adventure in itself. People here will try to con you constantly, asking for tips and what not so one needs to be vigilant about the same .

Rooms , service everything was pristine, Rouf bhai the manager was very supportive. The kitchen had enough cutlery to cook your own meals. the huts are right next to gondola and you'll not need local taxi. there's rpom hearer, air conditioner that can be run in heating mode and bed electric heaters.

We stay in Hutment. The kitchen was available there along with additional diening hall. The room having heater and electric blankets.Total services were good except food that u have arrange your own or ask the attendent to arrange it from local shop which is slightly expensive. Please don't expect five star facilities, rest all the facilities are good.

Room was good and cozy. Location was excellent, atop a hill covered with snow, so we had to trek through the snow to reach the hut, which was great. Food was above average. There was no running water in taps, they had given drums where water could be heated through a rod. That was a bummer. Otherwise, a comfortable and nice stay. Heating was good. We didnt feel cold in the room despite -5 degree outside. Don't expect luxury, but good for a basic stay in a budget.

We stayed in the delux room in the same cottage as the reception.
Room is food with very basic facilities.
No running water in taps. Water was stored in drums to be used for all purposes including in the toilet and flush.Manual heating rod for water heating was provided.
Heater, kettle, electric blanked was available. Very Limited food options. Great location. Not a luxury but a basic stay.

Very good view no doubt that is the only reason for giving atleast 2 star. We have booked deluxe suite. No one will help you with your luggage. Staffs are arrogant. No proper heating we couldn't sleep entire night. Even the bed heating was not working you can imagine our situation at -2 degree. If you don't have budget go back to Srinagar but don't ruin your night

The rooms are very comfortable and the heating system is also good. But no water supply in the washroom is the biggest issue. Otherwise everything is fine and market is also near.

I booked 2bhk hut for 4 people. Hut is spacious heating beds are provided and a bukhari is provided in hall. No wifi, not a premium experience but a different managable experience. Food is not good barely managed our stay. But a budget place with okay facilities . Caretaker was a helpful guy
