Location was good. Rooms are average, person managing hotel is a good guy. Restaurant is in the hotel, so convenient for traveller's. Mention less oil or be ready for oily food.

very beautiful location facing the river very close and a mountain.
clean rooms and enough quilts provided for the cold.
food arrangements also scrupulous and good. bonfire is arranged in the evening on request.
booking process and further contact also extremely smooth and pleasant. do try their camps as well.

Hotel Kinnar Retreat is having perfect location in the village Rakcham. We have visited in first week of July 2022, and climate was pleasant with little rainy. Hotel is situated in bank of river baspa, mesmerizing view of Rakcham village from balcony. Though rooms are not having much facilities but basic things covered.

Service is bit poor and food was not as per expectations, but instead of few cons of hotel, major attraction is location, which we have actually enjoyed a lot, the river-side walkin towards meadows, village visit, bridge on the baspa, are the best for photography. Hotel staff has arranged fire camp by charging 500 rs additionally which is really worth at this place.

I will probably rate this somewhere between 3.5 and 4. Great things about this place is the view from balcony, location (right opposite Rakcham village and very close to the bridge across the river), decently good food. Bonus was the helpful nature of the owner, Mr Deepak Negi. he was very friendly and helpful in recommending us places that suits our travel taste. Rooms were average to below average and can be better.

Rooms were way below standard and their services too were not upto mark... the Hotel locations is at a very pleasant spot making it memorable to stay keeping other areas in grey...

I must advise to check other better alternatives before going for this hotel..

Great hosts - Mr Deepak and Uncle Ji (who is the best cook in Rakchham) - we stayed here for 2 nights. Location is great and hot food is served. Very safe and warm people. All arrangements are made for a comfortable stay even when water pipes are frozen throughout the region.

Situated at a beautiful location, surrounded by snow capped mountains. The Baspa river flows just behind this hotel. I was lucky enough to experience 6-7inches of snowfall over night.
The staff is very friendly and hospitality is extremely exceptional.
The food is good too.

Comfortable stay with an excellent river view. Rooms were clean with superb common area. The view from the common area is straight out of dream. The host Mohit bhai is very friendly and the staff cooks delicious food. They have very economical work from mountains package as well. I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it.
