We, my husband and i, spent a night and a day at this wonderful little getaway. It truly is a green haven for city folk like us, especially coming in from Gurgaon. We loved the fact that the cottages have verandah space, comfortable sofa-chairs and that we were served tea there. The view of the well-kept gardens, the bamboo groves and flitting bird-sounds, was a balm to our tired selves.
We are animal lovers, and noticed that the dogs, geese, hens etc roam freely. The property has been equipped with the game of croquet, and badminton rackets are given out when required. Swings hang down from trees if one is in the mood for it- provision for the wandering soul.
The food : it is excellent fare served with more than a smile. It is simple and tasteful.
The housekeepers, and servers were local and very courteous.
All in all, being at Peepal Kothi was just what the doc had ordered for us worker bees- we got just what we needed, beauty marinated with silence, what else can one ask for on an overnight break honestly. We come away grateful to have found the oasis we did.

Truly a homely stay in the real sense. Tastefully done up accommodation in a sprawling lovely farm house. Hosts really personalise your stay and make it memorable. The Port House is the best cottage to opt for.

A therapeutic experience for the mind, body and soul- that’s how I would describe my weekend stay at the utterly charming Peepal Kothi. Just an hour’s drive from the ‘madding crowd’ of Delhi, Peepal Kothi is a peaceful haven, set in Gurgaon’s rural hinterland.
The sprawling farm is lush green, with a three layer protective cordon of beautiful trees, that keep the air perceptibly clean and fresh. The landscaping is clearly a labour of love – with carefully selected trees & shrubs, a lovely pond with its resident ducks & creative sculptures put together from scrap. Every corner reveals interesting features like a potter’s wheel, a clump of ficus trees that form a natural arbour, just perfect for reading, drinking or chilling out- with a bonfire & barbeque pit strategically placed alongside.
The 6 beautifully appointed cottages have a distinctively colonial character, with verandahs, classic furniture and vintage paintings. The rooms are extremely comfortable and equipped with all the facilities one requires. The highlight is the all glass dining room, set in a grove of orange trees – called the Orangeire – charming indeed! The best part about Peepal Kothi is the delicious food- comfort food like you would eat at home- made from farm fresh ingredients. Providing local flavour, were village women, who cook fresh bread on outdoor earthen stoves. The staff is efficient and attentive and took care of our every whim and need.
My husband played golf at Tarudhan, barely 2 minutes away. Also close by is the ITC Classic international standard golf course, attached to the 7 star luxury ITC Bharat Hotel.
For me, relaxing at Peepal Kothi, walking in the rural countryside and breathing clean fresh air, was an experience I would highly recommend.

Good place when you want to be away frm delhi for a day or so. Food is very average. The place otherwise is quite peaceful. They have limited parking space, for about 5 cars, so plan ahead if you are planning to go in a group.

Amazing farmhouse like five star property. Good homely food, though a bit pricey but if taken within package, overall value for money.

The geese make it even better.

What should have been a great weekend with the family turned out to be quite disappointing... Let me first start with the fact that there is a HIGH TENSION WIRE running through the middle of the property, something that is obviously not shown in the photos of the property.

We are a family of 6 and had booked 3 cottages. The cottages seemed fine however one of them had a leaking flush, which led to the overhead tank emptying at around 9 pm, which had to be manually filled using a garden hose .. A minor inconvenience... but since the leaking flush didnt get fixed, we opted to change our room to one of the rooms of the larger Kothi the next day.

The next morning, we were woken up by a rattling sound, similar to a pump or a motor at around 6.30 am... thinking its the water motor, decided to not bother, but after persisting sound and broken sleep, decided to tell the person to turn it off for 30 minutes... as soon as i stepped out of our room, i could see BLACK SMOKE coming out of the adjacent room. I quickly realised something was not right and woke up my wife to tell her to leave our room asap, as the room next door was on FIRE!!!

I raised an alarm and got the attention of one of the workers at the farm who opened the room door to check. There was a short circuit of some kind and the TV was on fire... The person ran to get some more help but by this time the curtain of the room had also caught fire..

They returned with 2 defunct Fire extinguishers which have probably not used for 3 yrs.. and a bucket of water to douse an electrical fire... 😤😤 Obviously there has been no kind of fire training of the staff who were completely clueless... we asked them to use sand instead and after some time managed to douse off the fire...

Nothing happened to us and we walked away with broken sleep and a crazy morning adventure... settled back into the previous cottage with all our luggage and getting over what just happened and what could have happened.

1. The entire Peepal Kothi engulfed in a massive fire had we not raised an alarm and controlled the fire.

2. The fire could have broken out in the middle of the night rendering us helpless and possibly charred to death by the morning.

The WORST part is that till now, the management or the owners have not even bothered to call us to check about what happened, whether we were ok or not... This just shows the absolutely unprofessional and uncaring attitude of the management who have completely absolved themselves off all responsibility and showing no remorse about what could have happened due to this...

We called up the manager - Mithun Mondal who had assisted us in the booking but didn't get any response from him either...

Its very sad to see this kind of attitude in the hospitality industry.

The only + point was the food.....
