Attended a ceremony in their crystal room. The hall is sufficient for 400 perx ... With a very beautiful ambience. Eateries served on the side portion of the hall, without hindering the main activities. Food items are fabulous..
Both veg & non veg. Only drawback is the parking.... Your vehicle has to be parked in the open space, in front of the hotel. When I collected my car it was so heated up due to midday sun... like a boiler chamber. Except for this hitch, it's really a great experience with Grand Mercure...!!

We went there for an event. The menu dishes were nicely prepared, delicious. The service whe having lunch was excellent. The attendants were there to keep picking up the used plates, glasses and other stuff.

It looks good to have an event here. It can accomodate many people comfortably. The eating arrangements were such so that there was no rush and no crowd or line for taking food.

I believed Grand Mercure Surya Palace was a very reputed and five star hotel until I stayed there. The reception area and dining rooms are very good. The room service is excellent.
It was a very disappointing experience during check-in, the hotel receptionist was inattentive and neglectful. They took long time to allot a room even it was already booked by my organization in advance.
The rooms of this hotel are very small and all the stuff fitted in rooms are too old or look outdated. The room is so small that there is no space to walk inside. Also, untidy carpet and spider webs all over the room. The bathroom is small too and the fixtures used are damaged or old. The walls of the rooms and bathroom look not painted for a long time.

We booked venue: Syndicate for Ring ceremony. Arrangements were good. Decoration part was very nice, especially Mr. Imran who is handling decorations part is very humble, kind and helpful, he understands your needs well, gives his inputs according to his experience and expertise and tries to make your event memorable

It was amazing stay at the hotel especially Mr. Hemant helped with all the needs and made the whole experience great and enjoyable. Ambience, services, spa and food are really good too. We planned it around the Birthday so they host the really sweet surprise. Looking forward to experience it again ;)

We held a corporate function here which included family members and the way it was managed by Kanubhai, Gopalbhai and their whole team was best. The food was delicious and highlight of the whole event... The staff was very courteous and helpful... Overall an evening to remember for all the company staff and family members. All thanks to the whole team of Grand Mercure... For such a big gathering with effortless preparation, the banquet here is a must try...

Nice hotel and very good and polite staff, service. Food was good, there were good options available in breakfast and dinner buffet. However a 5 star generally have more variety. My room lock was not working fine.. I had to hold the door for 5-6 seconds to lock it. This was prblem with my room only.
Location of hotel is very good.
One observation, all the days when I entered room, AC was on after room service even when I switched off the AC when i left for office.

Do not stay here. Stayed here in 2021 n now in 2023. The hotel has gone from excellent to worst. The food they serve is stable....they don't even take efforts to change name of food. They served stinking rice to kids. 02 of our guests suffered food poisoning. Do not stay here and if going for buffet meal be rest assured it's of previous meal.
