Best Health Center of Block I. Samthar Primary Health Centre was constructed in 1952 and started functioning from 1961. In olden days doctor used to visit health centre by covering distance of around 30km on horse. Not much has changed for Samthar PHC till date. Due to bad condition of roads and limited facilities at the health center people face a lot of trouble travelling during Pregnancy and other medical problems. 45 KM away from Kalimpong sub division hospital, Samthar and its nearby villages completely depends on Samthar PHC for all the medical aid. With very limited facilities and no proper arrangements for patient to be hospitalized, Samthar PHC staffs and doctor work really hard to treat people fight all the health issues and provide medical support.

Yesterday I booked my vaccination slot through cowin app but I didn't reached there for vaccine. Today 12Aug2021 I opened cowin app for reschedule my slot I'm shocked to see that I have a 1st dose certificate to download without having 1st dose vaccine🤔🤔🤔 Please samthar phc look into this matter .my name and my aadhar no used by unknown person with register mobile no.xxxx xx9999🥵🥵🥵🥵 #samthar phc
