Humro Home Rikisum Homestay

This one is a nice homestay on the main road. This is not a village but hardly a couple of houses on the road with almost no habitation in the vicinity. The Rikisum historical bungalow of the British is within walking distance. But it has been now destroyed. The owners are very hospitable and Humro Home team is very supportive as always.

Location of homestay is good. Easily accessable from Kalimpong or Algarah market. But the staff needs training on hospitality. They must understand they should guide visitors upto the hill top as there is no clear direction in the jungle.

Indeed a nice homestay on the main road. Basically it's a home stay where booking can be done through Swarna sikhar homestay, Humro homestay or Sana home stay. They have room quota. The homestay proprietor Mr. Rai is very humble and welcoming in nature. Nice view from the cottages. Giaser is available. Food is so so comparing to other homestays of North Bengal.

One star is little more to grade this home stay though the situation is is very good on the way to kalimpong to lava via Algara. The owner of the home very careless about guests, other attending staffs are also non-cooperative even they will provide in-sufficuent food to the guests. No one will get hot water in time. Senior or ailing citizens will suffer because the staff will say they have no room services and dining room is 3 layers above the guest rooms. And moreover right now humro home is not booking Rikkisum. Presently Windoz is booking the same and over phone I conveyed them all such problems to them which I and my family faced there.

Wonderful owners..Clean and spacious rooms. Delicious food. And help at hand all the time you need. What more can someone ask? It feels at home to be in that place. Beautiful forest walk and a gorgeous view of the mountains awaits. The owners follow strict covid protocol, are attentive to residents and are economical. Best stay at rukisum for sure..Feel a part of their family..
