We travelled with family friends and stayed here for 2 nights. It is not at all a good place for family. Rooms in the 1st floor were not upto the mark, without any doors to secure our valuables. Pillows and blankets were stinking. Common bathrooms were in pathetic condition. The owner is very arrogant and his behaviour is not at all professional.

Very good home stay. It was like staying in grandmother house just doing nothing and eating every now and then. Food was amazing. Homestay was like straight from movie set.location was awesome. Feeling good to stay there on new year eve.

Totti Mane home stay is a good place. The home stay is 300 years old and has accommodation for 30 + people . The food was excellent and homely. There are 3 bath Rooms attached and 2 common baths out of which 1 was under break down. We did not receive any welcome drinks or snacks when we arrived and felt that the homestay was little under staffed. Some rooms don't have ceiling fans and might be difficult during summer. There is definitely room for little improvement in customer service to give a great experience. There was a shortage of chairs at the campfire and the snacks were delivered very slowly in small quantities. Tottimane is in many Kannada movies.

Balur Mane - Takes you back in time to how homes were, strong and spacious. Our culture is seen in this place which is, I believe a 250 year old, yet a strong structure. And when it rains, truly sublime!
To go with the authentic atmosphere of this place the owner and his associates were just too good. Always hospitable and courteous. The food was healthy and delicious 😋 We just couldn't stop eating!!
When I go back to that portion of the ghats again, Balur Mane will be my first and only choice.

After a long years this homestay makes us to feel that we are in our village. We stayed here for two days and the cook was awesome he and she used to cook what ever we want. After seeing that house we didn't went out for sightseeing. Enjoyed the nature by sitting out side the house and played with the dogs. Lovely stay . I highly recommend this homestay.

It was a beautiful place with amazing view and sounds of birds chirping. Rooms were clean. Food was very tasty. We got to taste yummy malnad dishes!Owner was really nice and friendly. Entire staff were friendly and helpful! Would recommend you book this stay if you visit Balur.

Wonderful stay with wonderful location and the host.Fod was really really amazing...we had a good time..The location is superb with birds chirping and sounds of peacock.. Only one suggestion I would like to make is that,the rooms can be improvised and then this property would be top notch. Thanks

We booked some other homestay thru MMT.. but since there was some lack of co ordination .. we were given BALUR homestay .. beautiful property & location. Food was very good.. cooks made special dishes as per our request. Thanks to Mohan and his family.. special thanks to property owner Manu sir.
