Khwaja Anwar was the Amir of the Governor of Bengal Azim-us-Shan, the grand son of the last great Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb . He was killed in an ambush in 1698.Later in 1718 the then Mughal emperor Farrukhsiyar built a magnificent tomb in his honour which is called Nawab Bari

This historical place need to be declare as heritage and need to be preserved well, lack of maintaining authority. According to local people there are Toombs of Auranzeb's grandchildren and many close of his people.

It's a piece of marvelous history but the problem lies in the maintenance. It's sad seeing the condition it's in, but if ur a history fanatic, it's a must visit. If you are into architecture, it's gonna fascinate you. I won't be visiting again but nonetheless i loved the experience.

Worst place forever. Don't go there for any time. Totally waste a day for me. There are no maintenance in this place. Govt should undertake this place and should maintain properly. The Nawabbari is so terrible and dirty. The historic place has spoiled and dusted.
