It's one of the various gates which are the beauty of Aurangabad city. It's probably the one with preserved original structure, very beautiful standing over the bridge made over the Kham river.

Aurangabad City called as city of gates one of the gate is makai gate which is situated in begampura. Here near by makai gate many fast food shops are present and way to the Aurangpura is there . But there is small issue which is narrow lane which makes difficulty while driving otherwise all other things are good .

Thia place is an infusion of the past and the present. A road made through the gate, without disturbing the construction.
Many gates spread all over Aurangabad. A must see for the historic buffs.

The pilgrims departing for Hajj from Aurangabad were sent from this gate. That is why it was called Makkah Gate and today it is called Makkai Gate due to frequent use.

The Gates of Aurangabad distinguish it from several other medieval cities in India. Each of the 52 gates have a local history or had individuals linked with it.
Out of the 52, only four main and nine subordinate gates have survived, the most famous, oldest and biggest of them being the Makai gate near the famous historical monument BIBI KA MAQBARA
It increase the beauty of Aurangabad
