Patan Fort

On my previous visit I did not pay attention to Patan Fort. Not on my second trip though. Attaching nine pics of the fort. All from the Heritage Road.

Most of the pics here seem to be of rani ki vav. Patan is a walled city even though these days it's hard to tell. Attaching pic of the fort wall, the only place I saw the wall ( I had limited time ). Wish the wall and darwajas were looked after better. Quite dirty in fact. Sad.

The land fort is having fortification, bastions, gates and ruins. Patan city is situated in the fort. This fort is consist 12 gates, named as Bagwada, Chhidiya, Mira, Aghara, Kothakooe, Phatipaal (Fatipal), Ghoonghdi, Kanasda (Kalika), Khansarovar, Motishah, Bhathi, Lal and 1 window (in middle of city is called Ganesh Bari). Patan was founded in 745 AD by Vanraj Chavda, the most prominent king of the Chavda dynasty.

Heritage and amazing historic structure at patan

It's world heritage city.... Superb

Only outer walls of the fort or the structure. Not much to see.

Historic site. Famous for its carving also.

Nice wall and gates. Could be better maintained
