Located in Place called Thirukolur, This temple is 8th In Series of Nava Tripathi Temples and 57th in 108 Divya Desam. This temple is also called as Kubera Sthalam and is for Mars ( Sevvai). Its told in History as Perumal is protecting the NAVA nidhis (9 Wealths) under his right shoulder. The Lord is known as Sri Vaithamanithi Perumal and has a reclining posture on Adiseshan facing east direction. Reachable from Tiruchendur in one hour. The temple is beautiful and worth sparing time here to enjoy the beauty.

Love this temple. On Tirunelveli to Tiruchendur Road, Next to Alwar Tirunagari, after a KM, you will reach the temple.

Good Maintenance. Kosalai also there. Need 1000 eyes to watch, Perumal and Ambal beauty.

No issues for Parking and Toilet. No hotels nearby. Nearest place Tiruchendur (20 KM around).

Excellent temple, nava tirupati sthalam. The main deity solved the financial problems of Gubera. Its believed that he s the keeper of Wealth. We had free darshan, best time to visit in the evening or early morning.

One of the Navathirupathi Temples

Vishnu is worshipped as Vaithamanidhi and his consort Bhudevi as Kumudavalli and Sri Devi as Kolurvalli.

Offering prayer at this temple is equivalent to offering prayer to celestial body Mars(Chevvai).

It is believed that Kubera lost his wealth for lustful gazing at Parvathi and regained all his wealth by penancing at this place.

Legend has it that Kuber (Lord of Wealth) got rescued from the curse of Parvati' at this very place. Furthermore, the Nava Nidhis of Kubera were reinstated. It is widely believed that a prayer at this temple helps the devotees to recover lost riches.
