Nice and old temple.. not many visitors .. just 2.5 KM's from chola Heritage hotel .. road was not maintained properly .. but must visit temple .. don't miss it if you go to Karaikudi ..

Don't forget to visit Sakkarathalvar temple located just opposite to this Perumal temple. Sakkarathavar temple offers special prayers during Pradhosam as like in Sivan temple.This is a specialty of this temple.Public transport faculty us less better come by car or auto from Karaikudi.

My native place. Once in a month I used to visit this temple. Powerful god Moola Gerudan. Beautiful temple tank ,(pushkarani). Once in a year there would be a Brahmotsavam. Perumal would come around the village to meet his devotees. Boat festival and car festival will draw more devotees. The car would be pulled by thousands of his devotees.
