Wonderful temple situated in township. Nice and peaceful place. The Lord here is known as Kailasanathar and the lordess as Dharmasamvarthini. The lingam here is swayambamoorthy, ie self manifestated. The temple has beautiful carvings and sculptures. The temple holds a four pillared oonjal mandapam in front of lordess. It contains amazing sculpture of parrots holding a lotus atop. It also holds musical pillars in it which is unkonw till now for many people.

This temple was built byValvil Ori, who ruled this region a long ago with capital in kolli hills. He was spoken till now for his great archery skills. One day when he was hunting he shot an arrow which pierced an elephant and then a tiger and then a bison and then a wild boar and atlast it pierced a rabbit.

The temple is maintained well neat and clean. It also provides daily afternoon meals for pilgrims.
