Ancient temple maintained by Viswakarma community people. It has a historical connection with Akka salai Vinayagar koil. People heritage of Vishwakarma community here was of historical importance. They were in Korkkai port city long ago in Pandiyar king's period. When that city was ruined by river flood the people shifted to Tirunelveli. In memory of their city they built these temples here.
