The shirkai Devi is temple is small but has its presence as most us don't know many of the chhatrapati shivaji maharaj soliders (mavlas) had a lot of devotion for this goddess and we're devotees of here. Hence this temple might have been established here on raigad. This temple seems very old yet majestic.

Upon reaching the third level of the fort entrance you will witness Shirkai devi temple. A small but pure and sacred prayer temple built just at the correct place while entering or leaving the fort so that you can take blessing and carry on.

Shirkai devi is the goddess of the Raigad fort. Its presence is believed to be there earlier than the times of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shirkai devi is worshiped everytime before starting any ritual on the fort. Shirkai devi is believed to be the Source of Shakti or Power.
