History of the temple: In the year 1901, after a huge peepal tree dried up, Shivalinga appeared here. After that people started worshiping. Former minister cum governor Satyanarayan Singh had made a vow that if he wins the election, he will build a temple here. After winning the election, in 1952, alms were started for the construction of the temple. Seeing the begging, Birla's manager took the bowl in his hand and said that give this work to me. After that this temple was built by Birla. The temple was named Thaneshwar Sthan due to the presence of a police station near this temple and due to the continuous worship by the police.
