KMVN Tourist Rest House, Kausani

We visited the place in June 2022 in group of 6 families. The location is very good. If weather is clear, there is no better place to watch the view of entire Himalayan range. This is very big resort and various types of rooms are there. Some are renovated and others are not. If one can afford, go for the higher priced cottages. These are new and vehicle goes right upto the room. Others are being renovated. Please check for the proper working of geyser and bathroom fitting before occupying. Some are not working properly. But staff is extremely helpful. They help guests and partial room service. Food is excellent but dining room needs immediate upgradation. There is a tea and small dry snacks, cold drink shop just out side. The shop serves very good tea/ biscuits and very humble person. Overall very good experience. even with above limitations best place for holidaying.

Enjoyed our stay here a lot! Amazing location, great food and very courteous and helpful staff! The view from the rooms on a clear day is breathtaking. Very clean and hygienic rooms and cottages. Would definitely recommend for a pleasant stay.

This place provides a unique experience, primarily because of its location, service and vfm.
All the rooms and cottages provide views of Trishul peak.
Basic rooms, deluxe and executive cottages are present there.
There's a small garden as well to spend sometime.
There's ample parking space as well.

Everything is worth praising except food which was disappointing to a large extent but overall a good place to stay in kausani. Still worth recommending for its location and enchanting experience.

The only good thing is about its location. But that's not unique. Many other hotel will provide same view of mountain.
Maintenance is worst. Water logging in bathroom, no room cleaning regularly, useless wifi, unassisted climbing to cottages, costly food, politics of staffs to prevent you to eat in outside restaurant, unavailable of toiletries etc are some of the issues I have faced.
I recommend you to choose another better hotel. Next your decision.

Poor maintenance. Location is good for some cottages only. All cottages don't have the same good view even if they are priced higher. For example deluxe cottage 7,8 have better view than royal cottage 207 even if it's royal!!

This is a kmvn trh at an Awesome location. Himalaya can be viewed from all the cottages. Cottages are better compared to rooms. Reasonable prices and very helpful staff.
You can see baijnath village below in the valley. Off season discounts available in some months.

The TRC is quite far from the little Kausani Hamlet. Situated at the end of the road. The view from the rooms and cottages is breathtaking. Sunrise sunset and the peaks present a glorious view from the window everyday. The food is average. Service is Okayish too. Have to depend on a can always.

The view is breathtaking, there is no doubt about that. But the food is highly over priced. Ex- The egg price just a shop beside is Rs 8/- per piece, boiled egg Rs 15/- per piece. But in KMVN the price of boiled egg is Rs. 65/- per pair. The room is shabby & clumsy. Water bottle price also high. If you want to stay here, bring food from outside. Staff behaviour is good.
