Hotel Sorrento Guest House

It is in a good location in Anna Nagar in 2nd and 3rd floor and in the ground floor Balaji Restaurant a vegetarian hotel. So no need to worry about food. Cleanliness and upkeep needs to be improved. It is a little pretty old guest house so the furniture s and fixtures are old. It is well connected to Metro and public transport. They will provide drinking water in old reused bottle from their RO machine which I feel not hygenic. They should provide at least one litre of reputed mineral water which cost only RS.15/- free of charge to their customer service. Otherwise their service is good.

The manager & owner both are very very polite. The hotel boys can speak Hindi, they are also helpful. The Best part is when you visit a new place you need well behaving people around you and this hotel is very secure. Rooms are clean. I have a very good experience, if you go annanagar please visit this guest house.

The price very reasonable. Worth the money I paid. Neat and tidy. The room was spacious. Bed linen, soap and towels provided. Has lift facility. Restaurant Balajee bhavan downstairs was an added benefit. Hotel is located in a prime area. No exclusive parking space but on the road there was enough parking space which was ok. Overall good.

I have booked four rooms for my relatives who came from village.The treat for their stay is not good as expected. At the time of leaving the hotel, the hotel authorities not given the receipt where entire amount paid in full as advance and also the balance payment at the time of leaving the hotel.

If you are looking for a budget hotel and can be a little self sufficient this is a good place for the price. Nothing fancy, but friendly and accommodating staff. Security at night. It is a short walk to the metro and 2nd street where there are a lot of shopping options.

Positives: Near metro, friendly room boys
Negatives: Said they had no rooms until I said I needed for multiple days. Rude and lazy receptionist. Took advance money and passport and said he needed almost 8 hours to scan and didn't allot a room saying they will change it later. Later gave me my passport in few minutes after i said need it for other work. No bill nor advance slip.
Hot water needs to be filled in bucket from outside. Too many mosquitoes. Had uniformed power cut to repair their mains
Final verdict: Book online if needed or they charge more and is too risky. Nevertheless too expensive for service provided. Would rather pay extra and stay at a different motel.

Online showing cheap price and when we gone there they will ask higher than online price. It was old building the done some renovation toilets looks like worst and smell like railway compartment . And the main worst part is water you will get too much salty taste on water and also some black color dust on the water. And receptionist are rude. I will attach photos as reference
