Sikkim Helicopter Service

The roadways from siliguri to Gangtok is not good taxi would charge 3000/- if it is government prepaid taxi... Helicopter service in siliguri Airport is for 14000/- for four and it is 35 mins journey... Joy ride in Gangtok would cost you 9500/- for four which is for 15 mins round but nobody would explain u which place ur looking at .... Call the helicopter service person whose no is given in Sikkim tourism and transfer the money to the prescribed axis bank account on knowing the availability.... For Gangtok joy ride , tickets has to be collected from MG margaret office and go the helicopter ride which is in different place....

I was extremely disappointed with the unprofessional services STDC. I had paid the amount in full a month in advance to confirm what I thought would be a joyful experience for my kids. However, two days before our ride we got several phone calls from STDC saying our ride had been advanced a few hours. In addition to this we got an sms confirmation. As informed we picked up the tickets a day before but after picking up the tickets we got a msg from the pilot asking us what time our connecting flight to baghdogra was scheduled. As we planned to stay in baghdogra for a night we informed him the same. At 11.30 pm we recieved a call from Ms. Tsering informing us that our flight had been cancelled for technical reasons. What these reasons were was not elaborated. Since we had got multiple calls and sms confirmation for the time change and just an inadequate call for the cancellation we turned up at the helipad at the appointed time and were told that no one was coming to work. When called the staff told us the money would be refunded into our account after 7 days. I emphasised my disappointment and their unprofessional behaviour and was told to go to the STDC office in MG road where the money would be refunded immediately in cash. Extremely strange experience and definitely recommend you do not get your hopes up. Especially if you travel around a festival holiday like we did.

Great experience..do u wanna try adventure then go for a helicopter drive. It just takes 15 Mts for the drive..4 people ideally can comfortably sit n enjoy the trip. Ter is a booking office in mg Marg at Sikkim tourism office where u have to make the payment by card or cash.it would be good if you first complete your sight seeing in Gangtok before taking this ride the reason the helicopter will take a round of Gangtok and you wil be able to see the places and appreciate it while viewing it...the helipad is little far off from the town and there are no eateries nearby..ensure you finish lunch before starting to helipad..the helicopter comes from Bagdogra airport and takes couple of rides basis number of passengers for Gangtok ride...enjoy

The flights don't have any schedule timings even though they are mentioned and can very easily be cancled at the last moment. It is a memorable trip, if things go smoothly. Great view and wonderful scenery.

Every body say most lower class provide by this organisation... So i hopefully save after check review.

The website gives 5 mobile numbers and 1 landline number and none of them picks up the call.. One mobile number is always talking to someone else, no matter what time you call up the number. No one returns the call, no one picks up the call. We have been trying to reach you from more than a week now. It would be kind if you can respond atleast once
