Camp in Dhanaulti near Mussoorie with Himalaya Views

Great experience! The only problem we faced was reaching there and that's only because of the snowfall. We stayed in the rents. Would recommend the camp to arrange for heating as temperature falls below zero. Food and bonfire were great. Staff was friendly.

1. “Camp Calista” was renamed as “Camp Dhanaulti Magic” when it changed hands from one owner to the next. They are one and the same. I however see different reviews under the two names.
2. All Camp owners have joined hands to raise their prices similar to the hotels and resorts, which have spent lot of money in doing the construction and landscaping. These camps are nice, but do not deserve to be at even half the price. They charged us Rs.2K for each person. So 8K per night for 4 of us.
“Green forest Resorts” located within the same premises, provide much much better facilities.
3. The beds and the sheets looks shabby to say the least.
4. Water taps and running water available in each tent.
5. Food is average and not bad actually. If you have a car, you may go and explore Dhanaulti for other varieties of food.
6. Some games for children are there, like Brahma Bridge etc.
7. Forest walks possible around this place.
8. Staff, are courteous and nice.
9. Best view of the snow peaks in all of Dhanaulti. So here we have a location advantage.
10. Bon fire available. But too many tents and hundreds of people, makes it a market place, and rips it off its peace and beauty.
11. Parking available for your Car.

It's one of our most preferred destination for weekend getaways.
Very quite, serene and peaceful with good views.
The staff there are quite helping and the food quality - vegetarian is just like ghar ka khana.

Beautiful place... snowfall in the morning... tents were spacious and comfortable... staff was very cooperative... Best time was during bonfire... food was also tasty... Best time to visit during winters... must stay in Bamboo tents...

Wonderful please for camping..Awesome view of hills..valley..and snow peaks. In addition food was also very good. Overall nice experiance and value for money.

If you want camping at a reasonable rate then this place is the best.
Food was excellent and employees was very friendly.

It's located in Dhanolti and is just 30kms away from Mussoorie. The camp location is fantastic, the ambiance is superb with the scenic Himalayan range on one side and lush green flower trees on another. The bamboo huts however have very basic facilities. Accommodation is for four persons in each hut. Food is good but you have to walk through the steep slopes through rocky steps to reach their dining area. But that's fun and it's really beautiful all around.

Mix reaction....food was awesome and like home made, they dont provide hot water which really was tough for kids, most of the time there was no water in washrooms, they allow bachelors to play loud music till very late hours which creates problem for families. no adventure activities. bamboo cottage is spaious and can accommodate 4 person easily
