Wildrift Adventures - Camp Suryagaon, Sattal

It’s like home away from home.. Everyone treats you like family.. We had a beautiful experience.. The place is truly magical!! From adventure sports like kayaking, rock climbing, trekking, waterfalls, bird watching.. to the soothing silence of the nature.. with amazing food and interesting bonfires.. It is MUST go to place!!! The vibe is extremely phenomenal!!
Still can’t get over the nostalgia .. Highly recommended!

An absolutely amazing experience!! We camped there for 2 nights in a group of 5 and everyone was in high spirits throughout the stay.
The staff was genuine and humble. The food was great - we got a chance to try their local food and the dishes were very unique and delicious.
The camp fires was the place where we opened up with other visitors and the hosts made sure we get to know each other by organising fun games.
Kayaking at the vast Sattal lake was truly rejuvenating. So were the morning bird watching and short afternoon treks.
I would love to go there again whenever I get a chance!!

This year I planned to visit Sattal camp and it was nearly more than a year I visited due to the pandemic.

I would like to share that it's the most hygienic place with all precautions as per regularities.

The meals were totally rularised with purity and quality and really was delicious.

The way they we were we got hospitality, it was amazing.

I really recommend everyone to visit specially during the current scenario as we all really need a break.

It’s been 7 years that I am visiting this camp. On an average, I visit this camp at least 2-3 times a year. One of which is a 4-5 night family vacation, rest are usually the extended weekends.

Actually I have been to the camp 3-times in 2021 already!

We love the place - super amazing location. Love-love the people - a big shout out for Santosh, Jeevan, Vinod, Raju, Sanju and Bhat da (as he is lovingly called by all). Never seen such hospitable people ever!

The local delicacies and cuisines prepared at the camp are super delicious.

There’s something for everyone - if you want to laze in the sun and do nothing or you want to hike a mountain or camp under the stars near a waterfall.
It’s a perfect place to escape and at a super nominal cost. Other activities include kayaking, rock climbing, rappelling, lake swimming....Great for families and friends to bond.

Wildrift camps are managed by the local village folks. Your visit will support these entrepreneurs.
If you haven’t been there yet, take a weekend trip - highly recommend. (PS. As the roads have improved, the journey is just about 6-7 hours).

One of the sweetest camping trips you can take. The tents are large, clean and beautifully spaced. The washrooms remain tidy. The sattal camp is a great vantage point to the lake. The food is simple home-cooked perfection and you'll be spoilt silly. The team will take really good care of you and when you leave the camp you'll feel like you're leaving home. Take it!

Our school took us here during the summers, and it was the best experience of my life. We had a 3 day 3 night stay and the camp is very clean and well maintained. The people there treat you like family. We still talk about the camp and how we miss it, even after4 months, the camp always remained in our hearts and we always wish to come back here. If you're going to Sattal, I would most definitely recommend you to stay here, it's HEAVEN ON EARTH, trust me, you won't be regretting it

Our 1st visit to Wildrift Camp Suryagaon, Sattal was in 2009, This camp is A very special and peaceful getaway from the chaos of city and very close to our hearts. Wildrift camp Suryatal is situated on the hilltop adjacent to Sattal lake, visible from the camp, the mornings and evenings have beautiful sunrises, sunsets and shades of sky, camp is situated in lush greenery with chirping birds as your wakeup call in mornings and fireflies illuminating the pathways and campsite from evening till night. Run by the Most courteous and polite people, who are always happy to assist you with a broad smile, great food prepared fresh everytime. The camp also offers load of activities, weather permitting, like kayaking, river crossing, trekking to a small chilled waterfall walking through the lush green forest, rock climbing, rappling, campsite games etc. This camp is now a must for us atleast once a year.
