Yanam/ Yanaon most familiar to surrounded places in Andhra Pradesh having bus stops relocated and known to all passers-by. Yanam is a Union Territory located on the banks of Godavari. It is geographically linked with the Pulanaparam Puducherry (Old Name Pondicherry) in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. The uniqueness of the Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam is that they were ruled by the French for 2 centuries and were liberated in 1954 and merged into independent India.
