This age old educational institute is situated under Singur Block of Hugli district, mouza Khalisani. Originally the building was built for dwelling purpose by the zaminders in 1908. The structure of this heritage building is based on the 19th century architectural style in Bengal. It is a famous post graduate educational institute for women. It was also used as a refugee camp/ resident during the partition of Bengal, India in 1946-1947. One of the Hindu family escape from village:- Mandari, Subdivision:-Laksmipur, District:- Noakhali, East Bengal (now Bangladesh) took shelter in this house in the month of October1946 due to partition violence. Their 10 members family lived in this house at that time for several months.
