A very good place for north Indian food by north Indian chefs. Located inside the town ,in front of CMC. Has two seating area. One with AC and one Without AC. If you are looking for a proper Indian food then this place is a must try. Different types of koftas, daals, raitas are available and also with affordable price. Food will cost approx 600 for 2 people.

Lalit Vihar is one the oldest restaurant of Vellore Town, providing North Indian (Marwari) foods. Started in 1965 in the lane on Gandhi Road in front of the Main Gate of Christian Medical College Hospital, this a budget hotel, catering the need of patients, and their attendants, particularly from North India staying in various lodges around. It is pure vegetarian Marwari hotel, of late serving Punjabi foods additionally. Though very crowded, this place is liked by students and staff of CMCH and VIT who have taste for pure vegetarian Marwari and Punjabi foods at comparatively low cost. Staff are cordial but ambience is just satisfactory.

One of the best North indian food I've ever had in a long time. We went in search of another restaurant and ended up here. The cost is nominal. The bill was 800+ for four people. Will definitely visit here if i come to Vellore.

Tucked in one of the many bylanes of Gandhi road opposite CMC main entrance, this marwadi restaurant whips up some amazing vegetarian dishes. My personal favourites have to be paneer burji, dal makhani, tawa roti, randi and lassi. Dishes are decently priced. Ambience is average. Service is promt.

Authentic North Indian taste. Must try !!

I would say value for money. Good and humble food. I really enjoyed the thali.
Parking can be issue since this hotel is located in narrow by lanes of vellore city.
