Navik Motors (Mahindra First Choice) proved that you should not trust anyone blindly no-matter if the dealer is a brand.
On May 15th 2022 We booked a car (XUV 500 - Darjeeling Number). We trusted Mahindra First Choice blindly as it's a brand and we were sure that they will never cheat their customers. We trusted them also because our first car was a used car bought from Maruti True Value and which was really excellent and at par what they had promised to us. So, we were of the mind that its always better to buy used cars from a branded place no-matter if it comes a bit expensive it will never be a loss in long run.
Our mistake was, we just checked the exterior and the interiors which was in averagely good condition (please do not mistake on this, they clear up every dent and scratches from a car after they purchase it so that the car looks in a good condition). We did not even do a test drive as because the Manager, Mr, Mingma Tamang did not look line a cheater. He said "you will find cars of same age in market for lower price but ours is special" and we were lured by his confidence. Later on the deal day I made up my mind to exchange the car with my old Hyundai i20 for which they offered unreasonably low price. Me and my husband refused to exchange but Mr. Mingma was more interested in exchange. He offered us 4 lakhs for our i20 which was at least 50k less than what we could have got if we would have sold the car directly but we wanted to escape out of hassle of selling it. The car was so much at its best condition with new tyres, new clutch plate and woofer tubes that it got sold before we could receive out XUV 500.
Everything was looking perfect (though the entire deal resulted us in a loss of atleast 75k to 1 lakh)till the date we received our car. We were excited and drove the car home on 17th May.
While on the way we found that
1. The rear camera and parking sensors were not working>
2. The airbag indicators were resolving errors.
3. The rear AC was not functioning.
4. One of the headlamps was fused.
5. There was a vibration and a roaring sound in the car.
6. The center locking system did not work properly on one of the doors.
which on informing to Mr. Mingma on the next day, he asked me to take the car to him and he will do the repairing. We were satisfied. Later it was found that the front wheel bearing was crack which was repaired by him and the headlamp was replaced. He asked us to do other things on our own and this is the point when the real issue starts.
In a week time we found that
1. All the brake pads are cracked.
2. Wiper water tank is leaked, water pump motor doesn't work.
3. The airbag signal fault took us 4.5k for repairing.
4. The air compressor bearing and dynamo bearing were at fault. took us 15k to repair.
5. They provided us only one key and another key costed us 6.5k.
6. Almost all tyres nearing last stage.
7. There were 8 bulbs those were fused.
On a polite complain to Mr. Mingma he did not reply us back.
On june 30th which we were about to travel to Nepal the AC hose pipe busted which took us another 9k for repair. Later it was found that the interiors and engine is badly affected by Rats.
While we have just driven 600 Kms till date, lot many things came to notice which we blame ourselves for not checking the car before purchase.
The boot space lock is broken.
The hand brake was taped and later it was found that it is broken from inside.
There is a Rat hole in the car.
The rear wheel arm and bush were to be replaced.
And many more
Mr. Mingma admits that the fault have been planted from their end and says, he will help us selling this car off which has now come up to a price of 7.85 lakhs after further investments on it. I don't think that this is the solution for this.
We were fools and we don't want others to become a fool. I would not say, not to buy from them but yes please do not trust them blindly. Cross check before buying. Take help of someone who has detailed knowledge about a vehicle.
All the staffs are highly experienced, friendly and very polite.
They don't force you like other dealers. They want us to be satisfied at first and thn only they will ask whether we are ready or not which make customer feel like they're not being forced.
If you're thinkin bout buying,PLEASE VISIT NAVIK MOTORS.
I recommend to all friends pls buy the car once from this dealer..
They told me that they will give me papers related to car services at the time of delivery but refused at the time of delivery saying the owner not submitted the same.
I got the car checked in VW service centre and found major issues in the ABS breaking sensors /control unit which was costing around 86 thousand (16k+ 70k), Front suspensions (7-10 k).
When I told this to Navik motors (Mahindra), they totally denied their responsibility by saying the warranty is limited to only gear box and engine.
But I completely got disheartened by this as I paid extra premium for mental peace and bought a costly deal inspite of this got the same results. It took me more than 3 months to get the spare parts and right mechanic in siliguri and costed me around 70k in which I could have bought a decent new car for normal usage.
Guys .. My suggestion to everyone is don't trust them as I did. Ask for every detailed company check up before payment and force them to repair everything otherwise cancel the deal.
This is our hard earned money and we have every right to protect it.
Have bought a SUV 500 and enjoying my rides with my family & friends.
Lots of love to the whole team of Navik.
Grow & be 🙌 for more success and millions cars to be sold with happy customers 😀 along the road. ❤
